Thai House South Beach reviews
14Favorite thai spot in south beach. Especially when you eat outside and catch the miami sunshine. Great lunch special. So savory and delicious
Food order was incorrect. Basil pork was not good, like to the point that we didn't eat it. Go somewhere else.
Green curry and make it spicy! It was so good we went and had it again two days after! Pad Thai was quite amazing too!
PLEASE NOTE THAT MY REVIEW AND RATING IS ONLY ABOUT THE FOOD!
The woman who took my order was very sweet and generous! She allowed us to order the lunch special after the lunch special time. She also gave me a free cup of Thai tea to sample. However, the food was very disappointing. I ordered the Pad See Mau (aka the “drunken noodle”) and it was one of the worst noodles I experienced. I don’t know if the cooks are Chinese or the people who own the restaurant are trying to pass for Thai and are cooking with a Chinese style, but the taste/flavor and texture of the noodle is not Thai. And I felt very nauseous and threw up after drinking the drink.
I just wish places would be honest about their cooking styles or the type of food that they prepare (I.e. “Thai inspired Chinese prepared). Because it is very frustrating when you expect your food to taste a certain way because of what the restaurant displayed or claimed to be. And if they really are Thai cooks, then they need to seriously be retrained.
20% HIDDEN SERVICE CHARGE ALERT.
Beware that they charge extra 20% upon your total bill as a service charge.
I and my wife visited here for lunch. Food was average and little bit expensive. $66 for 1 fried rice, 1 noodles and 1 Tom Kha soup.
I would rate it 3 star but gave it 2 star because of the hidden service charge.
We had red curry (vegetarian) and massaman tofu here. Both the dishes were very good. We were served by amazing gentlemen named David.in spite of the place being so busy on Christmas, he took time to explain and suggest some very good options suitable to our taste.
Highly recommended place for Thai food.
Got crispy duck and pad kee mao. Duck looked like it was tossed in the air fryer for too long. Pad kee mao tasted like they poured a whole bottle of sweet chili sauce onto it. Not an authentic place whatsoever.
The best fried rice I’ve had in a really long time! Everyone is talking about the 18% service charge - but that’s literally every restaurant in Miami Beach. That’s normal here it seems.
Food is very tasty and all the ingredients used are really fresh. Had shrimp fried rice, Pad Thai and Padkemau - all yummy yummy.
The tom-yum soup and pad Thai have strange taste, not the authentic taste I had in Thailand. All the other dishes taste good. I love this restaurant.
Traditional so different then I expected but really good! The staff there was wonderful and very helpful explaining everything, good customer service is so hard to find in SoBe so this was the most impressive part to me. Highly recommend trying it out.
Me and my wife were in Miami for one day to catch our cruise the next day. We were hungry and wanted some Thai food. We found this place and it wasn't far from where we were staying. The ambience was great! Food was also good as well and the service was fast. It was definitely busy from people eating there and from DoorDash picking up food. I got the boat noodles and my wife got clear noodles. The boat noodles was really good and tasted authentic. This place is a little more pricier than other Thai places that I have been to, but I can't blame them for the cost since it's on Miami Beach. Fancy places require fancy dining and pricing LOL. If you are in Miami, I would recommend giving this a try!
Amazing original Boat Noodle (my wife is from Thailand) and the staff is very friendly with great service.
Unsafe - Transparent glass piece in Basil fried rice
This place is horrible,
We found transparent glass piece as attached image in the basil fried rice.
