Thai Udon Cafe Estero, Fort Myers FL

4 stars for the food and 3 stars for the service. We were seated quickly, however were not waited on for close to 10 minutes. When I asked for the happy hour apps the waitress looked at her watch wanting to deny the request. When we asked for to-go containers, her fingers we all inside the tiny sauce containers as she proceeded to dump our individual sauces in them. In the age of COVID19, NO restaurant should be packaging your food!

I ate lunch here today, at the Estero location, with my family of 4. We have been eating at this location since it’s opening, and are very unhappy with today’s service. My mother’s Massaman Curry chicken was not fully cooked, and the potatoes were so hard, practically raw. We addressed this to our waitress, and she had no resolution. Our other meals were sub-par. After paying for the bill, the waitress came back to our table to complain to my mother that she did not leave enough of a tip. The waitress stated “you did not leave the required tip”. My mother informed her the tip is discretionary to the customer. The waitress then went to complain to another employee. We could hear their conversation from our table. The other employee then loudly said “oh my god, they are so cheap! ” And he repeated this multiple times. I then informed him that we would not return to this restaurant, he laughed and said “good”. When I asked for the manager, he said his name is Tony and he is the manager. I then asked to speak with the owner, and Tony stated the owner is not available and to send a message through the restaurant website. I have never been so disgusted and disappointed with service. Especially from someone claiming to be the manager! Will not return again, nor recommend this place!

We had spring rolls, massaman curry, pineapple curry and the chicken fried rice. All of those dishes were absolutely delicious. Our first time there and we loved it. Give it a try:)

Best Thai, so far, in Southwest Florida. My wife get the spicy vegetable cashew nut. She loves it. I get the Pod Kee Mow with chicken (drunken noodles). Excellent. We visit frequently. Keep up the great work!

Perfect food. Hands down. I've never been disappointed here. Will definitely become a regular date spot for me and bae. Pro tip: get the mango curry!

Great Asian Fusion Restaurant! A Gem!

Atmosphere - Upscale casual, cozy and small. Clean with clean restrooms.

Service - Excellent. Have not had any complaints. Service is friendly and quick.

Food - A menus of a variety of asian cuisines. As the business name implies, includes Thai and Japanese (Udon), of course. Also a mix of other asian styles. Food is fresh and very tasty. Don't expect sushi here. This place excels at kitchen cuisine, and they get it right! Today, had the papaya salad and ramen noodle soup with roast pork. Both dishes were delicious and authentic! Have never had a bad meal here.

Summary - whether for lunch or dinner, this restaurant is a highly recommended hidden gem in the heart of Estero.

Fresh, delicious, spicy, healthy, efficient, well priced, clean and polite and all terms to describe this place.

The food is good, however their prices aren't reasonable. If their dinner prices were in the $15 range, we would be ordering takeout weekly since it's so close — and a lot of people feel this way. However, you'll easily spend over $20 for most entrees. Every time we're looking for take out, we almost land on ordering from here but then we realize we'd rather just order from Sushi Thai Too and pay less for better food. We aren't "cheap" eaters, either. Thai Udon, you are missing out on a lot of orders because of your price point. Fix this and you'll see a lot more business.

Hard to come by this quality of food in Fort Myers for this mid range price. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Loved the decor.

Papaya salad is a must try, full of crunch, refreshingly fresh with just the right sweetness, with a hint of lime. All top notch ingredients including the whole peanuts on the dish. Very unlike other out of the can peanuts I've had tasted at various other Thai joints.

My red curry with Bamboo chute was a delight. Big generous portion. I tried medium and let me warn you, if you are used to medium elsewhere, order mild here.

Chicken satay was cooked to perfection. The accompanying peanut paste/sauce was absolute shabang. Sauce tasted house made with some hint of honey, chilli, soy and dry roasted peanuts.

The food was great and service was ok. The Tum Yum and papaya salad is a must have. The food is spicy so if you can handle spicy I would definitely suggest medium spicy.

This was my first visit. I was taken there for lunch. The food was good & they were very accommodating given my dietary needs. They have an outside seating area which was very comfortable.

We have been to Thai Udon a few times and recently ordered takeout from them. On our most recent visit, the food was very yummy and very fresh. We were impressed with how hot the food was, especially for take out. Great local Thai place with great food.

We just had a late lunch here and totally loved the place & food. Even though the portions were large we had to eat it all because it was so delicious. On top very friendly and caring staff. 5 stars for sure!

Love this place. We go here often. All the food is amazing. Very flavorful. The crispy duck with curry is super yummy. Save room for dessert! It’s delicious. The staff is very friendly and on top of everything.

A bit pricey, but the food is good! The Ramen was tasty, but seemed a bit small on portion size.

INCREDIBLE food. Tom Kha soup and Massaman curry were out of this world. If I were on death row, I’d want this for my last meal.
