ThaVma is an EXCEPTIONAL yoga studio. It all begins with the people: instructors and students alike are super welcoming and friendly. The ThaVma Method is grounded in solid fundamentals of Bikram yoga, and the founders have layered on so many additional good things. ThaVma is actually much more than a yoga studio. I believe it's a center of wellness, and a community of kind people. My highest recommendation!

Marina is amazing! She pays close attention to correct form, helping to correctly strengthen and prevent injuries to hips, neck, and back.

Attending a hot yoga session led by Manching Tom and was reborn. I think I sweated my old self away. She led an awesome 75 min session with a lot of detail and coaching to help optimize the poses. Highly recommend - friendly and fun.

Exceptional Instruction Proper Postures yields an awakened body…sore, yet energized.

This studio is a cut above - sophisticated in style, clean and trendy. The vibe…positive and warm, welcoming and friendly. The Bikram classes drew me in but Thavma Red keeps me coming back, and more importantly, keeps me sore! The instructors make all the difference, and Thavma has some of the best! It’s no wonder, after learning Marina personally trains all her instructors…some of which have been teaching with her for more than 5 years.
One class with Marina and you’ll see why this studio merits these amazing reviews. Her passion, high degree for excellence and genuine love for this practice bleeds into her instructors. I frequent the LWR location, but have and will continue to travel to Sarasota for more of Taylor’s classes. Her clear and detailed instruction aligns me into proper postures, but don’t be fooled by her calming voice, because your body will cry the next day. Enjoy!

Molly B is a superstar if the 26+2. I am older, and I need this desperately for golf and movement in general at my age. I highly recommend Thavma Yoga!

Thavma easily beat my expectations. The studio (Sarasota) was beautiful and zen. The teachers were great. The classes were challenging. I tried the two week trial and give myself a 90% chance of joining after I try out a little competition as I am new to the area. (Update: I joined and bought the 1-year all-you-can-sweat pass - love it)

The best thing about the teachers was their attention to detail: they make sure to watch your alignment and constant remind us of the right adjustments to make the poses correctly and safe. But they were also friendly and fun and the classes had lots of people that had clearly been members for a while.

Their 26+2 class is a slight variation of Bikram, so if you know that or Google it, you will know what to expect. I enjoyed those classes very much. Just know there are slight and intentional variations and you should follow them and not show how you can do the "real" poses.

The Red Thavma is basically Yoga + Pilates + Abs + Sauna. This is a great way to tone up and burn calories if that is your thing. The Black Thavma is a harder version of Red, but I did not get a chance to try that.

I highly recommend their $39 two week all-you-can-yoga pass. Try to commit to 6-8 classes as the first one will seem hot enough to make you give up, but you get use to it and learn to pace yourself. I think it is easy to get addicted, and I did love it.

Hints: get well hydrated 3-4 hours before class, sip water in class, definitely take a sweat towel for your mat and keep a sports drink in your car for afterwards. Take a towel for your car seat too.

They supply a strap and block and when I forgot my mat they lent me a free one -but they normally charge $2

Do it!
