The Artist House, Key West FL

We loved the staff, location, and tasty breakfasts at the Artist House! The room was great with a comfy bed and luxurious shower! We booked pretty last minute and Cassidy was still able to arrange bikes and tickets to Dry Tortugas for us, both of which really made our experience in Key West more memorable and fun!

We came down here for a long weekend in November. I consider myself a seasoned vacationer, and I think The Artist House was one of, if not the best place I've stayed at. Wonderful staff who were all friendly and accommodating. The garden yard and porches were comfortable for relaxing and recovering with lots of privacy. Centrally located we only had a short walk from Duval street and everything on the island is walking distance.

This property is AMAZING! The staff made this experience one we will talk about for years. Breakfast with Lisa was Awesome! Anything you need the staff will make happen for you! We did not have to lift a finger " just ask"!
I would recommend Key West as a get away, and more important The Artist House as the place You stay!

Was a guest at this beautiful home from July 11,2021 through July 16th. It was my first experience at a B&B. My husband and I were pleased. They were welcoming and the room was clean and beautiful. We stayed in Eugene’s Studio Suite. The king size bed was comfortable, the room was large with plenty of room to live around, the bathroom was roomy, and what impressed me the most was the cleanliness. Thank you for helping us make great memories on our 20th Anniversary getaway.

We spent a couple of days in Key West in May and had the perfect stay at 'The Artist House'. The house is in a great location, close to Duval St, the waterfront etc.

Carlos was our host on arrival. He made us extremely welcome from the start, gave us a great deal of information on the house and its surroundings and also on the incredible history of the house and particularly one of its former occupants Otto and his malevolent doll Robert whose spirit hid my wife's room key on the first night (according to my wife at least).

The rooms and general facilities are all in great condition. Our room at the rear of the house was comfortable, quiet and private.

The ground floor kitchen provides you with hot water, tea (including a house specialty), coffee etc as well as wine, beer or soft drinks for happy hour which you can enjoy in the well manicured garden area or even in the pool. We missed Lisa's breakfast but it did smell pretty good.

We will definitely seek out availability here for our next visit.

Simply cannot say enough good things about this place. Stayed 4 nights in the Turret Suite - had no idea about the history regarding the property! Was fascinated by the number of nightly ghost tours that came around (outside & across the street - never interfered w/ guests or the property). Pro tip: Sit on the balcony at night - you'll be able to listen in on a few of their tales! Staff Jessica was fabulous - really enjoyed visiting w/ her. Happy hour was great w/ complimentary wine, beer, & other non-alcoholic drinks. They were also stocked w/ other items in the event something was forgotten while packing.even blister pads that Jessica presented me w/ that I was so grateful for! Breakfast was good in the morning, but usually had to wait - the cooks were not too friendly but nothing to ruin your day. We also enjoyed the "cocktail pool" in the evenings. The Artist House is also in an ideal location - we never even rented bikes like we intended bc everything was within walking distance. Would love to be able to return one day.

Best Place to stay! Carlos and the staff were great! Made us feel like we were home. Clean. Lots of unlisted amenities. Will be going back again

We had the most amazing stay at The Artist House! Carlos especially took very good care of us insuring we had everything we needed and then some! Carlos was very informative & friendly. We will definitely be back soon to stay at The Artist House! Super clean! Rooms are big & elegant. And they are taking every precaution for Covid. Thank you Carlos & crew!

Great people, great place. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Lisa (chef) and Jess (host) were terrific. We felt very comfortable in this magnificent Victorian style home. The only downside is the lack of parking which is the case everywhere.

FANTASTIC PLACE TO STAY! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Carlos, Jess & Max completely out did themselves! They made our getaway vaca extra special! Our room was pretty and perfect for us! We will definitely stay at The Artist House again! 10 STAR rating from us! Cannot thank Carlos and his staff enough! Looking forward to visiting again and staying in the same room

We will be back. Carlos is a fantastic host and he has a great staff. Only issue at this beautiful house is the low water pressure.

The service and location was perfect. Carlos was an awesome host and the breakfast was great. Friends and I stayed there early October 2020 and I plan to stay there again on our next trip to the keys.

Carlos, Jess and Team are exceptional. I had a birthday weekend and staying here felt like home. So clean, so central and rewarding! I recommend 100%.
