The Atrium at Boca Raton

Had an amazing experience with the staff here. Very friendly and well taken care of environment. I would strongly recommend this to anyone looking for a great and engaging environment for their friends or family.

My father resided there from May-Sept 2023. I had to frequently go there to pick up his laundry and wash it at my home and then return it due to it piling up in his room. Because he was incontinent, his bed linens and clothes needed to be changed frequently. Because the Atrium was short staffed, his laundry would often not get done more than once per week so you can imagine the smell of my father's room if I did not come to grab his linens. His caretaker (that we paid for privately) would often take his things home to wash as well.
Because of this as well as other issues, we had our father moved in the middle of September and were reassured by the director there (which we have in writing in an email form her), that we would be reimbursed for the half of the month's rent. It has been months now and the director is no longer responding to calls or emails. My dad passed away on October 8 so you can imagine that this whole experience with The Atrium has ultimately been a nightmare. I would not recommend, especially for the price they charge.

Great community that is in a great location. Activity program is excellent and the staff is very friendly and accomodating.

I am a friend and companion for a resident here and go at least once a week to spend a few hours with her as it brightens her day and gives her someone else to speak to, I wish everyone there had that extra help of a companion to help entertain and converse with as it really makes a huge difference to them. There of course will never be enough employees to just spend time one on one or family members for that matter. But the facility does its best to have so many various opportunities to break up their day.and even lunches out on certain days. Every day is some kind of treat/ice cream for all who desires it. There is a great garden and beautiful landscaping for all to enjoy in the back and it is safe for all. Then there is fun bingo every day, which everyone seems to love $$ and Lisa is the best bingo caller! Or you can play your own games at your own table. Sometimes they show movies with popcorn. There is a library for all to enjoy and jewelry making and a salon and so much more. The happy hour prior to dinner is very fun and sometimes there is a piano player. The dining room is so nice looking and no one has to eat alone. I have not tried the food but it does look delicious. I like how everyone seems to know everyones name and always so friendly and caring as well as providing a clean environment. When I leave there I feel good about leaving my loved one there as I know she is being paid attention to and cared for in a lovely place.

The Atrium has been a God sent.everyone is extremely friendly from the front desk right on down. I go on different days, different times and everything has been up to par.if the room needs more cleaning or laundry needs to get done they are on top of it.just ask nicely. Lisa is extremely involved in all the residents activities she keeps the place hopping.she knows everyone by name as well as many of the other staff members.the dining room staff members, the hair salon you can have your hair and nails done weekly, they will remind you. Lisa keeps the residents involved in activities games, dancing puzzles, bingo, happy hourmovies outings, lunches once a week out of the building.there are ice cream socials, monthly birthday's.movies. There is a flower garden in the back that residents can enjoy or participate in growing and taking care of there.even Feathered Friends out there get seeds and a few squirrels to watch.they all enjoy the fur babies indoors.it's a very nurturing place. I even see Lisa cleaning the main sitting-room, the bar area.if you see something and say something it gets done immediately.we are very happy

I can't say enough good things about The Atrium and the staff. So many new and exciting changes. I recommend it to all!

If it wasn’t for Heather the bookkeeper who gets a 5 star review, your rating would be much lower. Heather returns calls promptly, helped us arrange to clean out my Mothers room after she passed away. Lori, the new director, Heather is the best. As far as nursing staff, they never returned my multiple calls and denied receiving my messages when I was there last week regarding injuries to my mother and when my Mom went to hospital no one ever called me to ask about her. She died 6 days later and only when I flew across the country to empty her room and I told staff she had passed away, they were all surprised. Please note Heather’s service and compassion is 6 stars! The rest of the staff, including housekeeping needs a major upgrade.

This place looks like it was a previous Hotel converted into an assisted living facility. I have a family member that's been there for the past 2 years. They have a high turnover rate meaning employees/staff. The food sucks and I have had to repeatedly call them to get them to clean his room. And when I go check his room out after they supposedly clean it it's still dirty. And his clothes have gone missing, and nobody knows anything. Stay away from this place they got problems.

It is with great affection that I wish to congratulate the new Executive Director of The Atrium at Boca Raton Mrs Lori Rosario. A very proactive, sensitive, competent professional among other adjectives. From the feedback I've been getting from her, I'm sure our seniors will have better assistance now. I know that this journey is not easy, but when you have determination and love in your heart for human beings, EVERYTHING is possible. THANK YOU LORI. My eternal gratitude. Marli Mckeage
