The Bay Park reviews
19The Bay is a beautiful addition to Sarasota and this beautiful city has to offer. From kayaking and paddle boarding to the outdoor reading room, there is something for everyone to explore and love.
Great new park with lots of open space for games, music or just a picnic. The mangrove walk is shaded and provides a few nice spots to rest. There are big beach chairs down by the water for everyone to use. I love that there's a snack bar (emphasis on bar) and a playground. Only downside is the playground isn't very toddler-friendly, and it's not shaded, so it makes for short visits.
Really happy to see more and more new points of interest in downtown Sarasota. Park includes playground, massive lawn, and concession stand selling eats and alcohol.
Great park by the bay, good amenities, a bar just opened near the Ibis playground in the nest structure. Kids love it
We love The Bay. The nest is very cool and the food is good. We love that it has plenty of space to walk around. The playground design is nice. We love that it is super dog friendly and that the parking is easy. I would visit The Bay Park again!
Magical, beautiful, perfect for the whole family. AND the food and cocktails are awesome! Try it for sunset, bring a blanket to sit on **Def go on their site to see events, movies, music etc. Well worth it!
The Bay Park is amazing, and the plans moving forward are exciting. It has become one of my favorite places with all the free classes they have.
Beautiful bay front park is perfect for a nice stroll with the family. The winding paths through the botanical gardens are full of native flora and fauna. I like the placards with interesting information about the park and its purpose in nature. My personal favorite is the brightly colored Mural Wall by Liss Design in front of the Art Center Sarasota at the start of the park trail.
The Bay Park project. Very nice walkway. Concession stand for lunch and breakfast. Kayak rentals. Beach with chairs. Playground. Nice restrooms. Digital display showing upcoming events. Mangrove walking paths. Bench swing. Path walkway to Van Wezel building.
We met up with several homeschool families here and we all had a wonderful time. The kids had a lot of fun bouncing between the playground and playing in the water. It would be really nice if they had some sun shades up over the playground. We will be seeking out playgrounds in the shade now that the temps are warming up already.
What a fabulous park to hang out at! This place has a great cafe and events all the time. Check out their Facebook page or website for information on the events.
Another wonderful place to visit in Sarasota. It's got quite a bit to keep you busy for a while.
This is just Phase 1 of The Bay, but it's really, really nice, beautiful, and very comfortable. We walked around all the paths and stopped for a drink at the new concession building. That was super nice. The Bay is really a great place.
Seating at the water's edge is great for Sunsets. Even have little tables for food and drink. Saw dolphin around 11 a.m. This morning.
I enjoyed a beautiful, peaceful sunset on a Saturday afternoon while the boys played in the park. Love it.
My family and I are incredibly grateful to have this beautiful park available to the public. There are indoor buildings where you can view art, venture into the welcome center, the manipal auditorium, and the library. Outside, you can explore the butterfly garden, the shaded pathways and bridges, and make your way to the kayak launch. Beyond that is an open field with a stage where live bands come to play. There is a cute children's playground and sitting areas by the water. This park is dog friendly (leashed) and very family friendly. Just make sure you clean up after your pets and leave the park the way you found it. ️ There are garbage and recycling bins located throughout the park and water fountains for people and pets.
Absolutely amazing, super fun and entertaining! Theres a fancy music area, and I love the playground and the beach. Dont swim right now though, red tide ended a bit ago and a bunch of dead fish were washing up. Totally recommend coming here to play or listen to amazing performances!
It's coming along beautifully! It is very exciting to have this amazing park and all that it offers in Sarasota!
