The Capital Grille reviews
14My husband and I enjoy our time here. Michael and Miguel made it even better. The filet mignon topped with the crab and lobster mac was delicious. Make sure to have thr Stoli Doli cocktail. We will definitely dine here again and will ask for Michael. Thank yoi.
I went there with my family to eat lunch. The bread was so amazing, that I asked the server for me. He said no problem and they came back with my meal but no bread. I thought maybe he forgot so I asked another server and he leaned forward with his hand on his knees and he said of course and nothing. I wouldn't have had a problem if they couldn't but it felt like they were blatantly ignoring me since they said they would. It made me feel really bad. I cried in the bathroom a bit. But anyways really ruined my day and made me feel like something was wrong with me.
So amazing bread but inconsiderate guy. I'm probably a bit sensitive too. Don't recommend for the overly sensitive people pleasing type people.
Went to dinner at The Capital Grille over the weekend. Had a very pleasant experience. Our server, Shakkar, was very cool and down to earth. He made our experience more enjoyable. Ribeye steaks were delicious. Will go back for sure.
Eating alone, I shared a small room w a family of 6 which was way nicer than the pre TG melee of larger tables of 8& more.
Two courses, most amenable tho' a side (20spears) of asparagus was akin to a separate starter! The NZ Sauvignon quite superb.
My husband and I try to go to Capital Grille two to three times a year for special occasions and we recently went to celebrate our Anniversary. Capital Grille has an excellent gluten free menu and some of the best wines, steaks, sides and salads. Even got my husband to like beets, which he never did before! And you always have to save room for dessert. Capital Grille is the only place where I will eat a dessert. Since I am gluten intolerant, my favorite is the Flourless Chocolate Expresso Cake. Can't go wrong! Pictured below is the Creme Brulee my husband had which is also gluten free.
Worst steak I’ve ever had. ZERO seasoning. Blotchy uneven sear. Probably a choice cut at best. Looked like someone took it out of a Costco package, threw it on a grill for 10m, then took it off. Complete rip off. Server didn’t ask how I wanted my salmon cooked, it came out EXTREMELY overdone.
The steak was tasty, and the sides were even better. What made the night, however, was the superb service. I made the reservation and added a note online that I'd be taking my mother out for her birthday. I did not mention it when I arrived, yet everyone we encountered - and mean everyone - wished my mother a Happy Birthday. The hostess, the person who sat us, the waiter and even the manager came over! Not to mention, our waiter (Jean) was one of the best waiters I've ever met. The little touches mean a lot, and that will have me coming back. Well done!
This place was good, the service is amazing! Not gonna complain, i love the food here and the great selection of wines, gonna make sure to come here for my dad's birthday, he gonna love it.
The waitress was amazing, however we are locals are went for lunch and the food was terrible! Had the chicken and salmon. Extremely overcooked and very salty! No management appearance.terrible presentation.very disappointed
I celebrated my birthday October 2nd. 5 star service. We all had a great time thanks to our waiter Flo who we nick named Flo_ rider!
Superb service. Attention paid to all patrons immediately after being seated. Glasses kept full, courteous waiters and Delicious food. Definitely worth the price.
Our experience at Capital Grille with Michael was one of the best we’ve had in our time living in Ft Lauderdale. Everything from the excellent customer service to the quality of the food was amazing. Thank you Michael for making us feel so special on our Anniversary celebration.
Second time I ate here. Today, Thanksgiving day, it was not the same. We did not complain, but my steak was bland. Friends steak was over cooked. Maybe it was because of the holiday crowd. I live in Chicage, food there at Capitol Grill is always consistant quality.
The first time at Capital Grille - Ft Lauderdale. Not sure which one i prefer.both this and the one on MB are great. Driving up, the valet service was awesome, stepping into the restaurant from the hostess to the wait staff, everything was superb, the servers were so attentive, nothing was too much. The menu, OMG off the chain.yes still pricey, but $ well spent. Thank you all. My birthday celebration was a blast.
