The Club at Cheval reviews
11The first time I came to play golf at Cheval, there was a mix-up and I didn't get to play my tee time. The owner Larry King Jr contacted me personally about the problem and apologized for the mix up and made everything right for me including a nice lunch. I came back a couple days later and played course, it was in beautiful shape and I enjoyed the round very much
The tennis staff is fantastic! They have clay courts that are well maintained. The members range from beginner to advanced level.
This is a beautiful place. The club house is amazing. The course is awesome! It is quite challenging. Staff is friendly and helpful.
The menu was a bit more impressive that I had anticipated!
The waitress was very good, she was knowledgeable about the food and had a great personality!
Course was in very poor condition especially for the price. The greens were decent but fairways, bunkers, etc were not maintained and not well kept.
The course was challenging. I just wish it was in better condition. I would expect this to be a budget course for $40 a round. Not the $80 charged.
Course is in good shape even with the rain mucking up maintenance and plugging balls in the fairways. It may be the least swampy course in the area. Good customer service, nice layout of holes and a well stocked pro shop. Love it when I get discount greens fee.
Visiting from out of state, first rate tennis facility, having 4 children that played college tennis really impressed, great content in lesson, looking forward to returning
Always in great shape. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They spread out the tee times to keep the pace smooth. Nice layout too
Played yesterday and was absolutely impressed! Great facilities, wonderful layout, nice people and 18 holes in less than 4 hours. I will be back!
Cheval used to be a premier course in Tampa. I played this week and was overwhelming disappointed. I've never been a fan of the layout. Too many holes that are tricked up. Severe doglegs requiring irons off the tee. Par 5s that you can't hit driver. But the conditions of Cheval are equivalent to the cheap municipal courses in the area. The old Bermuda greens desperately need replaced. The driving range is now a water range where you have to hit floater balls off of mats. Really disappointing. Hopefully they will invest some cash and bring it back to life.
