Brian handled my Chapter 13 case many years ago. I needed his assistance recently with a complicated legal matter, so I called him. As always, he was professional and offered me his time and advice at no cost! Now how often do attorneys give you their time for free? I’ll tell you when — NEVER! He’s an “attorney’s attorney” if you ask me.

We had been searching around for an attorney that stood out from the large number of attorneys out there. At the recommendation of a family member who was satisfied in using the services of attorney Cohen in the past I called his office for a free consultation for my sister regarding her debt problems and a pending lawsuit. Honestly, in spite of the good things I had heard about him I don't like dealing with attorneys in general. When we spoke with attorney Cohen however, we felt comfortable immediately. Attorney Cohen was attentive, personable, professional and clearly explained all the available options to us. Another thing about attorney Cohen and his staff they always returned our calls and made sure we were taken care of. I definitely can recommend attorney Cohen.

I don’t even know where to begin with my experience with this law firm. I paid for my case in full and for the past month I’ve been trying to get in contact with the legal assistant that was put on my case. I sent plenty of emails and called plenty of times but always got the same response from the secretary at the office: “she is not working from the office but I will let her know you called looking to get in touch with her. ” No response. I made such an effort to try and speak to someone other than the answering secretary but they must be in some sort of internal mess because they never got back to me. Not once. Finally I requested for a termination and look for another attorney to help me. I emailed the termination person and 2 weeks later I got a letter that they have terminated my case and send me a check for 1/4 of what I paid them. They did no work for me and they are claiming that once they get paid then too bad so sad. You take what we give you. This is the type of firm you will have if you choose to hire them and I honestly feel sorry for those people. Good luck.

I don't go onto websites often to write a review but I thought it to be appropriate here. Atty Brian Cohen is a wonderful lawyer and a nice human being. And his staff is just as wonderful. He always had positive outlook which certainly makes filing for bankruptcy a lot easier. He was polite and always took the time to explain to me what he was doing. The people that work for him also have great people skills, always having a kind word to say. I feel it is warranted to recommend Brian Cohen if you need to file for bankruptcy and want it to be totally stress free.
