The Cove of Rotonda Golf Center, Port Charlotte FL

The starter wont push pace of play. He had the opportunity to get kids moving who were playing with 10 players on the shortest course on the planet just before the hurricane and berated us for doing his job, when on no planet should there be 10 high schooler playing when 4 is the max. So tonight, with the over populated county we live in, he chose to chip and put on the green instead of forcing pace of play, as i remind you on the shortest golf course in the county. We finished the first 9 holes in 2.5 hours waiting 20 minutes at every hole. Mind you the lady at check out said there is night golf and at 6pm they would start their rounds. After paying 30 dollars for 18 holes on a very small golf couse, about as long as a put put golf course we decided to play an empty front 9 again since we literally sat in outlr golf cart longer than we played. Said starter said we cant do that, since he decided to stop putting and chipping and actually doinf his job. Same guy who would even have the courage to tell a group of 10 they cant play all at once, but backed me off from saying something months ago. Its a cattle run there, pay 30 bucks to play 9 and have a stater who if he isnt busy will enforce the rules. Great job cove. You let the ones who cant play golf do what they want to do, but the residents who have been here their whole lives get a talking to. Hire starters who have a pair and enforce rules. They are stated in the golf cart. Cant pick and choose because your people im charge are scared

Good place to golf, especially for anyone looking for a more relaxed atmosphere. Priced well and the service my husband and I received was wonderful. We did the night golf and I have only been there once (visiting from out of state) but it may attract a more boisterous crowd. Which isn't bad but the group ahead of us was loud and someone shot a ball from where it landed on the opposite side of the car path, directly at our line of carts. It hit the left tire of my husband and mine's golf cart while we were sitting in it. Was a dumb move but not the location's fault, just something that happened.

We played night golf & had a ball. The cove has been updated & improved since it was Duffy's & you have great specials. Thanks for watering & keeping the course in good shape!

It’s ok. Some rough spots but overall not bad for the price. The night golf is back 9 only with lights and can get pretty backed up with groups. There are better executives and ranges nearby.

I will give the course a 5 star. It's fun to play. As for the people on the course they weren't even worth 1 star. They were the RUDEST people I ever met on a golf course.

Nice executive golf course. Not overpriced. Great for most senior and mid handicappers. Not a championship golf course. I like it!

We enjoy playing here! Nice, executive course. For me, an emerging golfer, it's perfect! Staff are all attentive and welcoming. Pretty well maintained. Sad loss of many beautiful trees in recent hurricane.

Greens rolled true but we're slow and the fairways we're cut. Nice little executive course

This is such a great course! I am just starting to get into golfing but my boyfriend has been golfing for years. This was a perfect course for both of us. Friendly staff, cute clubhouse, nice carts and cheap prices. What more could you ask for!

This is my first experience at golf and I’m having lots of fun at the Cove. The course is perfect for me! Everyone is friendly and supportive. Thanks to my wonderful friend, Francine, who has taken on this challenge

My favorite local executive golf course. Course is always in great shape and the staff are the best!

Course conditions were well maintained. Staff was very friendly. Pro Shop left a little to be desired. Wish there was more beverage options and water stations. Never saw a cart vendor.

Advertised a tee time online but did not honor it. If night golf is closed to the public on Tuesday's, don’t put the option on the online booking site

Play there every year that I'm there for Xmas. Outstanding service course is always in pretty good shape. Looking forward to the next couple of weeks that I'm in FLA to play your course
