We partnered with The FOLC Farm for a group wilderness first responder training in south Florida. The instructors were extremely thorough, clear, and creative. They were able to cater the course to our location and needs while still being comprehensive. Everyone came away feeling more prepared for emergencies that arise at work and in our personal lives. I can't recommend the CPR, WFA, or WFR courses at the Folc Farm enough. Catherine Jean is amazing. All her classes are gender inclusive in a way that feels safe <3. She fosters a collaborative learning environment among her students. The camping set up is nice. She goes above and beyond the SOLO course requirements.

First time visitor to the farm - attended SOLO wilderness first aid course. Excellent training! First, the course itself was packed with information, and you are brought along in an easy to understand and logical manner providing valuable skills with both book-knowledge and multiple hands-on training sessions.

Secondly, our instructor Catherine brought a wealth of personal knowledge and experience which set a solid foundation for me personally. She is an excellent trainer and gracious host!

finally, the farm itself provided a great backdrop for the course along with the necessary amenities including provided snacks and drinks, restrooms (both indoor and outhouse) and a covered porch for the torrential rainstorm we experienced.all in a quiet and serene backdrop of feeling you were in the woods, yet easy to find and only 10-15 min from Gainesville.

I definitely plan to visit more often to experience the other activities and events provided!

Excellent spot for training. Did Wilderness First Aid here. Super happy with the overall experience. Catherine is an excellent teacher with real-world experience to back up everything she’s teaching. All the material is not only taught but then practiced with scenarios to reinforce the classroom aspect. I won’t soon forget the things I learned here. Highly recommended!

Very friendly and very knowledgeable staff. They taught us very important skills, and I think everyone should have a basic first aid knowledge. The practice scenarios were immensely helpful to integrate what we learned, and were helpful to normalise the protocols that need to be followed. We also had a lot of fun learning it all, and the atmosphere was comfortable and relaxed. Highly recommend!

I got my WFR certification with FOLC on Jan 2023 and it was a wonderful experience! I learned so much while I was there. Catherine is a very effective teacher with lots of good examples and hands on experiences. The scenarios were realistic and great practice. I loved getting to camp and have a sense of community while I was there too. 10/10!

I did the WFR class and spent 80 hours in the course, and camped on site. Catherine opens her house as a learning space both inside and out. The learning was well paced and digestible. The instructors experience and approach is really top notch!
