The Fort Steakhouse, Fort Pierce FL

This place is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to! Angela was our server she was on point with everything. Walter is the General manager came over to our table to ask how everything was. We cannot give enough praise to this restaurant. Highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing! Everything was delicious from beginning to end! Perfectly prepared Delmonico & Spinach Rockefeller.
My wife had the Bone in Pork Chop (Come hungry it is a mammoth cut) perfectly cooked, juicy and loads of flavor. Broccolini & Whipped potatoes.
Wine selection is not huge like most steakhouse but full of great & different selections. Got a really great Italian cabernet for our dinner- Superb. Walter the manager & his staff were charming, personable & professional. Service was spot on. Truly a hidden gem and will recommend to all our friends who visit the Treasure coast!

Wonderful dining experience. First time visiting. Excellent food and service. The staff was attentive, and gracious making sure we were completely satisfied. Our new favorite restaurant.

We wanted to dine at this establishment for a long time. For my wife’s birthday this year, we finally got the kids together with us and went. The atmosphere was great. Our food server was French and lovely. We ordered an appetizer after we were told that the steaks would take 45 minutes since we had ordered them medium-rare and medium and they had to rest. That seemed a little odd. We ordered a steak fondue so we could eat something sooner. It was salty and good. The kids had sodas and we had sparkling water. No alcohol. All of us ordered steaks of course. When the steaks arrived they were extremely rare. The medium-rare steaks that we ordered were pretty much still alive. The steaks were all blackened/burned on the outside, but not in a spicy delicious way. It tasted more like gasoline had been put on them and then lit to charbroil them. Or maybe a propane torch was used. Also, all the steaks had rosemary on them, which is not something I would normally expect on a steak, more like on poultry, and it had a strange flavor to it. My wife’s steak was literally still cold in the middle. Nothing that anyone would expect as medium. We decided to have the steaks cooked more and when we did, we were told that the restaurant cooks their steaks French style, which is more rare than you would get in America. That’s baloney. The only way you can get a steak, more rare than the three they brought us was if the cow walked in by itself and you stabbed it and sliced a piece off. When the steaks came back they were even more burned in the outside but the middles were still undercooked. To top it off, I’ve had better quality meat from franchised steakhouses like Outback. Better flavor and texture. The asparagus sides were also uncooked. The asparagus was extremely crunchy and had little burn marks. The sauce it came with was not very good. The mac & cheese had almost no flavor, and was not very good either. It was my wife’s birthday so they gave us a free dessert. But it was added to the check. It was OK except it was a strawberry shortcake and the strawberries were canned. Maybe in France they prefer canned strawberries over the ripe fresh ones we have here in Florida at this time of year from Plant City outside Tampa. The biggest insult was that the check after tip was $500 for four people. No alcohol. For that kind of money you must provide good atmosphere, great service and a phenomenal meal. We did not get a phenomenal meal at all. We go to the Okeechobee Steakhouse regularly so I know what a good steak is and for the four of us there it’s about $350, the steaks are superb and the sides and desserts are to die for. We were extremely disappointed by our experience at the Fort. We will not return. I hate to give the place a bad review because maybe they had an off night or the cook was ill, but the fact is that I feel like I have to because for the money it was an absolute rip off. Our meal was poor quality, overpriced and badly prepared

Nice treat for a special occasion. Everything was well prepared and beautifully presented. My father was very impressed with the salmon, and he is hard to please. The special birthday dessert was an extra nice touch, and our server Cynthia and the rest of the wait staff were wonderful. Suggest updating the Sunset menu online, as it differs from the printed copies we used to order. Overall very good experience.

Everything was absolutely delicious from the drinks to the sear on the steak, the service was impeccable, kind, and very attentive. We had a great time celebrating my birthday and it was the perfect ambiance to. The ambiance is rustic Texas like felt. The bone marrow was succulent, flavor beyond, the steak was spot on and the mushrooms I ordered as a side were perfect. Thank you.

Impeccable service impeccable service from beginning to end. Called in to reserve, where about to close and still accept that us are server. Cynthia was the best, and the food hands down great chef. Definitely would recommend for anyone, especially as out-of-towners to come and visit here again.

Wonderful place. Steak was spot on and the scallop special appetizer was yummy. Scallop and steak cooked perfect. The escargot was different than expected but also a delicious appetizer. Our server Angela was awesome.

I LOVE a good steak— This steak was excellent. The mac and cheese was incredible. Service—top notch. We are new to the area and have been searching for a great steakhouse—we finally found it. Can’t wait to go back. Thank you for a great experience.

The Fort Steakhouse was amazing. It was my first time visiting the restaurant and I was truly impressed. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and pleasant. The environment is great if your looking for something low key and casual. Food and drinks were spot on! I feel that I could’ve closed my eyes and picked anything. The food was well seasoned. I will definitely be returning for a second visit!

Great place for steaks for sure. The truffle butter is a must. Even the butter for the beard is great. The do char the steaks a bit much. Should be seared, not so much char. Over all very nice, and we will be back.

Had a Birthday celebration! It was wonderful! Thank you so much for the great service. Our waitress was new to your establishment she was very educated to all the specials and was a great sport to celebrate with us!

The steak was over cooked, and outrageously over priced. The stroganoff was prepared with sour cream that was bad. The bread was doughy and nu-appetizing. The waitress droned on for 10 minutes about the menu that we were both capable of reading. A lot of show and gimmick with no substance. We'll never eat there again.

Service was great. The enviroment was good. But the $56 14 oz NY Strip left alot to be desired. The $6 house steak sauce taste like shrimp cocktail sauce and A-1 with a hint of fruit. The brussels sprouts were awesome tho.

Samantha the hostess was very kind and got us seated right away on a night that they were busy, The wait staff was very attentive and knowledgeable
Food was well presented and very good, definitely a Great find.
