The Gabriel Miami Downtown, Curio Collection by Hilton reviews
16When we checked in, we were told we were being upgraded or a better room. But, the room we originally booked had a king bed and bay views and the “upgraded” room did not have bay views. It was on the 14th floor by the pool and hot tub but the pool and hot tub were closed. When we got to our room, there were no hand towels and only one wash cloth. We also found a dirty sock on the shelf. It seemed like someone started cleaning the room and then left. There is also no infinity pool like is advertised online. For the price and the location of this hotel, I expected a much nicer hotel. I was very disappointed. I would not stay here again. I wish I could get my money back.
Absolutely breathtaking! The rooms are modern and refined, offering amazing views. I enjoyed having complimentary Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV. The added bonus of a balcony was a delightful treat.
The hotel boasts a trendy restaurant, a lobby bar, and an outdoor pool. Perfect for art enthusiasts, located 4 miles from the Pérez Art Museum. Conveniently, Miami International Airport is just a straightforward 10-mile drive away.
The hotel staff was really friendly and made me feel at ease. Whether it was breakfast or dinner, every bite was incredibly delicious.
An exceptionally luxurious stay! The rooms are beautifully furnished with all the modern amenities you could ask for.
Like most hotels in Miami or any major city, more is not always better and Miami has a lot of hotels and apartments. Everyone is a stone throw away. The Gabriel offers you a little luxury for a lot of convenience. You can walk to Bayside and the Arena. Highly recommend asking for a bayside view. Its stunning. The staff is very friendly and very respectful. As a Miami native, Im weary of high priced hotels in town but The Gabriel was different. The atmosphere was relaxed and calm. My only caveat was if your a light sleeper, you can hear the hustle and bustle from the busy city outside. Then again its Miami! The City that brings the Heat for real!
If you want an ideal Miami getaway, this hotel is the place to be. The staff goes the extra mile to make your stay truly special.
The hotel has a lively atmosphere, and the rooms are spacious and well-maintained. I had a great time, and I highly recommend it to others.
Incredible stay with stunning views of Biscayne Bay. The 24-hour fitness center and weekend yoga classes kept us active, and the rooftop pool was the perfect way to relax.
Super noisy AC, curtains that can’t be closed at night, a phone which doesn’t stop beeping for no reason, oversuperpriced food (7$ for a coffee), broken equipment at the gym, broken credit card machines that charge you twice, and the staff… I’ll stop here…
Was put into room 1222. Shower was rusted, walls had extreme water damage, door under sink was falling apart, right half curtain was held with black zip tie, window would not open as crank was missing. Typical traveler scuff marks I expect, especially so close to the port. I was here for business, not my first time and I was embarrassed to stay here. I called front desk and they move me to a new room on the 15th floor. That suite needed some TLC as well for what it was. My employees room the toilet would not flush and the morning we left there was no hot water. He put up with a freezing shower just to get out of there.
Perfect location near Kaseya Center and just a short drive to downtown Miami. The 24-hour fitness center and weekend yoga classes added a healthy touch to our stay.
The room was spacious and had everything modern you'd want, like cozy beds and a fantastic view. One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's rooftop bar, where you could see the entire beach.
WARNING: Scammers hired as staff.
I happened to attend an event at the hotel restaurant last week. The first time I ordered two glasses of white wine I was charged $36. No breakdown on the bill. The second time it was $52. At this time we obviously complained and the bartender offered to have this charge cover our next order. The lack of shame in systematic scamming has reached another level.
It is bad enough that businesses in Miami are charging crazy amounts for basic services. I understand they must make a profit, but this generalized practice is just destroying societal trust. But if this were not enough, the bartenders hired in this event were just plain-sight scammers pretending to make mistakes, and obviously protected by their employer - who I must guess has similar shady work ethics.
I'm taking time to write this review because I love Miami and its truly ethical and hardworking people. My hope is that this is a contribution to making institutionalized scammers like this business leave the community and hopefully one day experience a change of heart.
I'm really happy to say that Gabriel Miami Downtown is the best hotel I've ever stayed at. When I got there, the staff was amazing, giving me a warm welcome and helping me with everything I needed to have a comfy and enjoyable stay.
The staff paid really close attention to every little thing, they were very careful, and they worked very hard to make my experience amazing. If you want a place where your special moments are celebrated with a lot of care and thought, I really suggest this hotel.
