The General Insurance, Fort Lauderdale FL

This place is pure trash, I try to get a quote and they give my information to a bunch of spammers/scammers, as a people the only way we're going to stop these people is by holding them accountable and putting them out of business.

I’m tryin to get a hold of someone here but apparently they don’t care for their customers been tryin to discuss my claim for the last 5 months

Website is a bit crazy. You try to make payments and you put in amount it switches the amount upon submitting your payment. Very hard to reach customer rep when you need one.

I can’t believe Shaq is behind this incompetent insurance company they are a rip off very unprofessional, My car was a total loss, They assigned me to an adjuster who never responds it’s like they giving you the run around this company need to be heavily investigated, Here in Florida everything is priced high cost of living is high insurance rates and premiums skyrocketing, The General Insurance Company needs to be put out of business all they care is about is Money….

Calling “The General” an insurance company is just one of the many lies that are built into the very fabric of this incompetent company. The person assigned to my claim, named Robert Norris, is the epitome of disrespect, lack of professionalism, incompetence, and ignorance. An individual with this company crashed into me. How did it happen? I was stopped at a red light and someone rear ended me. Apparently the lack of neural function is a common theme among those who are in relation with The General. I’m a graduate student, therefore my time is of extremely high value. The reason why I am so upset at the individual Robert Norris, is because the accident occurred on December 5th and today, December 28th it still has not been resolved. He ignored my several calls and voice messages for almost 3 weeks. I finally got an answer, and his incompetent handling of situations lead me to end the call in order to preserve my professionalism and avoid calling him the name that he deserves. They do not want to pay for the repairs of my car, I was kind enough to tell them that I didn’t even want a rental since I’m on school break right now but again they wanted me to process the claim through my insurance for them to pay. I refuse to pay a cent for something that wasn’t my fault. If you want to avoid high levels of cortisol (a stress hormone) stay away from this inhumane, fraudulent, and unethical company.

They are the worst. Specially the claim representative Robert Norris. Highly recommend to stay away from this people. THE WORST.

They quote me for $4k and Geico or progressive was offering me $1.5k for the same policy.this is insurance for people who has DUI's, shady record and need to be insured. Hey! They have to pay Shaq somehow

You never get to talk to someone, the agents is very slowful in getting back to you about your claim and last, the can never give you correct information in why your bill isn't following the payment amount. Very dissatisfied and will not renew with to them.
