The Hangar Restaurant & Flight Lounge

Food was pretty good. Atmosphere was great. Wait staff were good. Kitchen took a very long time for food and they didn't seem all that busy.

I like taking friends from out of town for the sights, however.the planes can be loud, the outdoor area needs more protection from the sun and my 10 year old nephew can make better eggs Benedict. It's just a "meh".

Actually the food is better than one assumes “airport food” would be. I just tried the pesto salmon which was delicious. My hubby had a salad topped with blackened salmon which was also delicious. I also encourage the hot Buffalo wings with a side of whatever they call sweet chili sauce. Yum. Did I mention their balsamic dressing has bacon in it? Have the salad, no regrets.) also nice wine list and outdoor seating which I looove.

The flying fish tacos (blackened) are DELICIOUS! I would've never thought to try fish tacos until my mother couldn't stop raving about their tacos. I tried them and I've been hooked ever since! I've tried fish tacos in several other restaurants, but nothing came close to the tacos @ The Hangar.

as you are next to the runway and can watch the small planes land and take off had a great time.

My thoughts while eating here were “why aren’t there more people here? ” We came on Thursday night and enjoyed a small jazz band and sat outside to watch the plains land and take off. The food was excellent and the prices were reasonable. Free parking for the restaurant when you pull into the airport, which is a major plus in Downtown St. Petersburg.
This is a hidden gem for sure, they have specials all through the week so just go! We will be going back for sure

Flew in from Merritt Island. What a great fly-in restaurant. The ramp hands are super friendly. There’s a $5 handing fee if you are visiting The Hangar. Food is great, friendly service and the menu is substantial.

Coming in from the east the airport really blends in with the skyline so keep a sharp eye out on approach. Great views on arrival of Tampa Bay, Sunshine Skyway and St Pete. Busy busy busy on the weekends.

Over priced yucky food. I ordered a salad poorly made gagged on the rotten taste. Another person in the group ordered steak and eggs the steak was tiny and burnt on the outside when he ordered medium well. Atmosphere was blah and the live music was way too loud for such a small space. Would never eat here again.

It's ok. I've been here for a helicopter flight and had lunch. Breakfast is iffy. Very nice wait staff though.

Unfortunately, I am unable to confidently give The Hanger 5 stars. I had looked up the restaurant online due to a locals recommendation and it says they were open until 11pm. After going there I learned that the kitchen had closed as I was arriving at 9pm (probably arrived around 8: 55ish pm). Even though I don't get a chance to eat there the environment was stunning and the restaurant seamed to look pretty clean.

A large party enjoying Thanksgiving dinner was tasteful. And the atmosphere relaxing for the holiday. Great service bright and cheery.

Male server with blond hair wore in a ponytail very snarky. Asked us if we wanted a drink from bar. Asked if they had frozen Pina colada. Very snarky and rude said no we don't have frozen drinks her never had and never will and said I am ok with that. Really who says that! Food took forever to come out. Had to ask were my server was. I will tell you we will never be back.

Delicious food and professional service! They offer discounts for those who attend aerial tours of the area. As a bonus, the view is delightful! You can choose to sit indoors or outdoors and watch the wide variety of different aircraft take off and land.took my fiancé here for his birthday and the fondue was his absolute favorite. Our server, Michael was very timely and made sure that we always had everything we needed. Hungry for more! See you again soon:)

We went for breakfast, the omlett was good. Home fries tasted like they were cooked yesterday. When the waitress re filled our coffee, she didn't bring cream. We had to ask for it.

Very mediocre food and service experience. This place is located inside of the airport with a little view of the plans taking off which is really the only good thing about it
