Nasty. Not sure if the worst part of my food was the insane amount of butter or the soggy old fruit. And they didn’t give me syrup with my to go french toast order.

Great food and pastries. The meat pie was excellent. Will go again for other items. Staff were wonderful.

I love this place. The Italian sandwich is to die for, and everything else I’ve tried has always been delicious: the egg sandwich for breakfast, the milk bread, sourdough. Excellent service every time too.

I want to love the hawthorn but I can’t. Most of the service staff are friendly but appear to be experiencing their first day on planet earth. I was once in with a friend, they were out of an item after she had paid and been seated, they asked if she would like them replace it with something else, when she agreed they then told her to come up to the register so she could pay for the $3 difference. That’s the sort of thing that the restaurant should take as a loss when they were out of an item after the customer paid.

My real gripe is with the bagels. The bagels are delicious and probably the only actual homemade bagel in Tallahasee. However they refuse to make them at a pastry station at the front like they do all the baked goods, so instead they send the bagel to the “line” where you now need to wait 20 minutes for your to-go order. However they don’t spread or slice the bagels for you, so you ware waiting 20 minutes for the cooks in the back to put your unsliced bagel and restaurant supply container of cream cheese in a bag. It truly makes no sense!

Everyone enjoyed their food order. Quiche, croissants, fruit/oatmeal.
The prepared coffee needs some work (not as hot or fresh or robust) as I would have expected. I had the homemade mango pie It was delicious

Tl;dr good food but hardly worth the money.

Ordered a rueben, it was very dry with hardly any mustard and no discernable thousand island. I went and asked for more sauce and explained the sandwich was dry. They said "sorry you can buy some more, we have to charge because we make it in house. "
It was $1.80 for 2 tablespoons of extra mustard. While not a lot of money, it feels ridiculous to charge me for their mistake, I didn't make their $13 sandwich dry.

Also had the galette and seasonal quiche which were good, albeit overpriced ($6 & $8 respectively).

First and last time at this cafe.

Literally every food I’ve tried here is delicious. Hands down the best quiche in Tally. And IMO the best pizza when they occasionally do it. Staff is always super friendly. I rarely see this place full of people so I hope their business is doing well. They deserve it!

Wonderfully friendly staff guided us through our first time and all of their yummy offerings! Scone and herb focaccia bread were the stars of the show for us!

Nice physical environment. Seasonal quiche was served hot and was very tasty. Had wanted grilled cheese on a croissant but was told croissants were only served for breakfast. Pain au chocolat was very disappointing; pricey and had virtually no chocolate in it. When I brought this to the attention to the staff, I was offered another one, but told that if it came from the same batch it would probably be the same result. I declined but was not offered a refund. My friend asked for a to-go box and was brought one with a smile by one staff member, but another patron asked for one and was told he could go get it "over there" and was pointed to the kitchen area by a different staff member. Kind of got the sense that customer experience is supposed to be dependent on the food and not the service. Both could have been better.

Best quiche I've ever tasted. The peach and cream pie - so unique. What a talented kitchen! Just visiting from NY, but next time I'm here, I know where I'm headed first.

Best Ruben in town no doubt! This place has great lunches and sandwiches. I've had their Reuben, club, and a folded bread sandwich I cant remember how its spelled last sandwich on the menu but its great.
They also sell real cane sugar sodas in different flavors rootbeer, cream soda, black cherry, orange etc. They usually have the flavors that are available that day up behind the cash register to see what flavors are in stock.
Very good friendly service and very delightful staff, quick service, and very polite folks who make the service more enjoyable definitely. Stop by and grab a sandwich or pastry and try the soda, it to die for.

I come here almost every Sunday for pastries before my visit to the dog park. It’s become such a fun routine! They have a set of pastries there every time (like the brown butter pop tart) and then some rotating pastries. The ones in the photos were from Easter but they have a ton of other fun pastries. They also have Korean cheese garlic bread which I’ve never seen at a bakery in town before. I honestly haven’t tried their food *yet* but knowing they use their own baked goods in the sandwiches it must be good!

Great Fresh Baked Bread. Great Service. Nice deck to sit with your pet. Had a Quiche that was amazing and love the authentic delicious soups.

They were able to handle our office lunch order with ease. Salad was super fresh and yummy. Tomato soup was also very good, a little thicker than others. B I t, the addition of pesto was perfect.

Get the Guinness beef hand pie. Not the quiche. Lavender cookie as well. It's all good but not cheap. You are paying for good food.
