The Hollywood Brown Derby reviews
19Went on Christmas day and everyone was 5 stars! Chef came out and told us he could make almost anything on the menu gluten free for us and he did! My daughter and I were in heaven! Amazing amazing!
The duck was slimemmy and bloody, the pork was hard and hard to cut. My filet mignon was ok. The server overlooked us from the beginning, lemon water came with water but no lemo, no bread, and there was no spoon for the soup, he never offered a steak knife, so cutting was a struggle.
Best meal on all of WDW properties! Shrimp cocktail to start, the husband had pork, I had braised short ribs, we both had cream brulee for dessert. And OMG it was ALL amazing!
Our waitress had a poor attitude.
Had to ask for more rolls and water3 times.
Food great.
Got seated right away.
Maybe she was having a bad day.
Brown Derby is a quiet oasis in a busy Hollywood Studios theme park. The food is very good. It is a high-end restaurant with great service. We enjoy doing a late lunch here to get a break from a long day in the park.
The food and experience were incredible. The appetizers and entrees were delicious, but they did change up their grapefruit cake to general disappointment. The drinks were also great. Largest complaint is the general limited menu (it used to have more options) and the lack of the wedge salad.
Not your average charcuterie - 12/27/22
Phenomenal made in house mustard and subtle pleasant choice of blue cheese.
Food was above average quality for theme park standard, definitely pricing especially the Fantasmic dining package. Service was OK and has room for improvement, drink list was good for alcoholic drinks but slightly disappointing for non alcoholic offering.
Elegant restaurant, fun atmosphere. We loved the escargot casino, the chicken coquavan, macncheese, and the famous cobb salad.
We were looking for someplace to eat while at Hollywood Studios so we tried here. We are not fancy people when it comes to food. Just give us a good steak or chicken. There are very few items on the menu and even less that we would consider eating. The food was overpriced. We got the pork and it was very good. Our server, Stanley P, did a very good job. We can now say we did it and move on.
The charcuterie board was to die for, but the pork meal wasn't the best. The service, however, was over the top and Christine is a 5 star wait staff.
Classy dine in with amazing food!
There were only 2-3 Vegetarian options. The butternut squash and apple soup is awesome.taste buds were just flourishing
Great place, Cobb salad is my go to. I also tend to eat way too much bread and butter.but it's so good!
Cobb salad is great but i prefer it with ranch dressong. The duck is amazing. Pork chop if they have it is massive and amazing.
The only fine dining option at Hollywood Studios, the Brown Derby has some delicious food in a stylish setting. Our party enjoyed all of the food we ordered, and our server was helpful with suggestions. Unfortunately, service overall was haphazard. Our server disappeared for stretches. A bottle of wine took forever to appear (we were eating our entrees when it finally arrived) and then was not the vintage given on the menu (the server was unapologetic and just said that was par the course).
Excellent food with Disney customer service. There should be nothing else that needs to be said.
Ordered the Cobb salad and it did not disappoint. I would highly recommend if you like salad to try it. My favorite option in the park for a sit down restaurant to relax mid day.
I had a party of 6 and was able to snag a reservation same day too.
After speaking to the hostess about having a little fun for my daughters 21st birthday, I was looking forward to the interaction. We ordered our drinks and dinners. After 2 of the 3 people in our party finished dinner, I see the waitress heading towards our table with a cake in her hands. Now 3 other tables had cakes delivered, so I didn't think to much about it, but as she turned to our table states she didn't want us skipping out before dessert and places the cake in front of my daughter, who was still eating her dinner, I nearly died. First of all, you shouldn't be serving dessert when the birthday girl especially is still eating dinner. Secondly they should have waited till we at least ordered coffee before bringing the cake to the table. I mean I am spending over $250 to eat here and this is how they give us a good experience? I promise you this, it will be the last time I ever eat at The Brown Derby in Disney's Hollywood Studios again. We've gone to the The Brown Derby every year since it opened in MGM days. Whomever owns the restaurant really needs to coach their employees on having better timing with delivery, especially when it is a milestone in someone life. I can't tell you how many people I will be informing not to dine at this location and $10 for 2 regular coffee's is absurd.
