The Landing of Panama City Beach reviews
8Difficult circumstance of having to find a place for a family member was eased by the Director Suzanne and her staff. Their “we are here for your loved one and for you and your family” sets them apart.
All assisted living/memory care facilities will tell you the same thing. We will care and provide for your loved one while they are here. The difference with The Landing at Seagrass is that they are true to their word! The current staff truly care about the residents. They are a stand alone memory care unit, which is extremely important, so that they can focus solely on individuals with memory issues. The food is geared towards the resident and all seem to enjoy it. Are they perfect? Show me a facility that is. But they are transparent and will work with the individual needs of the resident. If you are looking for a memory care unit in Panama City, look no more. You found your loved one’s new home.
Wonderful compassionate people. Suzanne and Debra are so considerate of loved ones and strive to make their lives comfortable and fulfilling, I would highly recommend this memory care home away from home to anyone.
My mom is enjoying her time at Seagrass Memory Care. They do lots of activities & have people come in to entertain them. The people that work there are friendly and helpful. Laura is the sweetest.
Nice place for a family member with memory care. The interior is designed to look kind of like the near by pier park area. Giving the residents a sense of familiarity. Really nice staff a lot of them are newer and really nice and you can see that they care for us and the ones they care for thank you
Seagrass Village goes above and beyond for their residents. From artful dining to activities to personal care, they show their love for the residents in everything they do. The staff is compassionate, hard-working, and overall amazing! I highly recommend Seagrass when looking for a place for your loved one!
Neglect and verbal abuse were observed. Staff appeared to be indifferent to residents needs. During meals residents often were not supplied with all the utensils required to eat the meal and when they requested a utensil they were told that there were no more. Napkins were in limited supply as well. Residents who required assistance with cutting meat were not provided that assistance, they would generally pick up the food and try to eat it with their hands. Beverages were generally not refilled. These residents are at the mercy of those who have been charged to serve them. Nursing was observed to shout at residents These residents present with challenging behaviors usually seen with Dementia and or Alzheimers. The management should take more of a proactive role in the areas of listening, instruction, and training with their staff to ensure excellent care of the elderly people that have been entrusted to them.
Recently toured this facility and was very impressed with the staff and amenities. My sister and I are looking for a place for our mom to move into within the next couple of months and definitely think The Landing will be that place. Building is new, rooms are spacious, and lots of activities offered.
