The Lobster Shack Key West

Very delicious lobster roll. Shrimp roll was OK. Lemonade was great. Very limited seating, no seating for little ones. Only open til 3 pm.

Amazing lobster roll! We had the Key West. My wife and have been comparing lobster rolls all down the East coast, from Maine until now- the southern most. And this lobster roll is as good, maybe better than our favorite in Maine. Not kidding, unbelievably delicious!

Cute place located in an artsy spot with lots of cool little shops. The lobster roll was delicious and you definitely have to get the pasta salad as your side instead of chips. So good and the ladies running the place are sweet.

We always go here.in fact.we make sure our hotel room is close to this place! Tim & his wife Shelly are the nicest people.and.the lobster sandwiches here are like no others here on the island! I've been a lobster lover all my life.and I tell you.these are the best.biggest.most delicious lobster rolls I have ever had!

Walked to the southernmost area and saw the lobster shack. Stepped in and ordered two sandwiches. One sandwich had jalapeños and the other sandwich was the original. Nice buttered rolls and large chunks of lobster with minimal onions. I highly recommend it.

I had Key West Lobster Roll and it’s good. The lobster is sweet and tender, which really matched with butter bread. I even liked that little coleslaw ended the meal with a refreshing hint.

Are you kidding me? Wow! Had the Key West lobster roll. Light and fresh with that hint of key lime. If you toss the cole slaw you’re missing out. Service was fantastic. If you don’t eat here on your trip you are missing out. Will be on our must have list for all future trips.

At first I was a little annoyed because the lobster meat wasn’t warm. But glad I gave it a chance. It was AMAZING. The person that took our order was very kind as well as the person that gave us our food. They gave us so much lobster in one roll. I actually felt like my roll was made with an entire lobster.

Will never go back. Another reviewer said the staff was rude. What an understatement. I ordered a grilled lobster & cheese $24 and a lobster bisque $12. I was charged $44.50. When I questioned it, the cashier said you got a loaded lobster and cheese. I said I didn't ask for loaded. She gave me $3 back. That did not include the tax but I felt it was still too much. I said it still seems too much. A woman from the kitchen said do you want us to just cancel and refund all your money? I said no I just want to be charged correctly. Originally, I was over charged $5.50. With the $3 refunded I was still overcharged an additional $2.50 and didn't get that refunded The amount isn't the reason I'm writing this. It's how ugly the woman treated me. I'm not even sure I got the right lobster roll. I sure didn't taste any cheese. How many others have been overcharged and just didn't know or just didn't say anything?

Lovely people. The food was delicious, reminded me of New England childhood and eating lobster rolls at any opportunity. And the dogs were treated like royalty, which was really sweet, since we think of them as family members.

This is a great little place for a great LOBSTER grilled cheese. It had plenty of fresh lobster. It is a little pricey but considering the cost of lobster these days is well worth it. If you want cheap go to Red?

The restaurant did not allow us to use their bathroom. The lady said they do not have a bathroom for customers. What kind of restaurant that has indoor eating but no bathroom for customers.
I have witnesses that the lady said that they do not have a bathroom. We spent over $100.00 and the restaurant would not go out of their way to serve their customers

Hadn't been here in 6 years and nothing has changed since! The quality of the food is amazing, and the staff seems to care.even came outside to ask if everything is good.love this spot, glad to have come back!

Best meal we've had in key west. Was not expecting that since we've eaten at several other highly recommended places. The proprietor was also extremely nice and seemed genuinely appreciative we were there.

Not cheap, but it was well worth it. Plus, it's lobster

Lobster Shack is my favorite place in the world to eat! The first picture is back in 2019 when we accidentally stumbled over this gem. We fell in love and literally could not stop thinking about it until we came back for our honeymoon in 2022. Nothings changed! Still amazing- owners are super friendly and great to us. I have not had a comparable lobster roll in Michigan, or Florida.
I tell EVERYONE to come here on facebook key west groups. I tell all friends & family who come to visit the wonderful keys. Seriously- my favorite place.

Visitor from San Francisco California. We drove from Miami to key west and got into town around noon so we were ready for lunch. Googled for a good lunch restaurant and we decided on the Lobster Shack. It's extremely tiny inside with maybe 3 small tables and a longer table in the middle of the tiny house a limited menu that consists of lobster sandwiches, salad, lobster bisque. We decided on the lobster sandwiches. They were truly the best most delicious lobster sandwiches I've ever had. The roll was nice and crispy yet soft with it stuffed full of lobster pieces. Didn't think I would finish one but was so delicious and light we ordered more! After dining at other places in the keys, we decided the Lobster shack had the most delicious and memorable tasting food.
The person that took our order was not very personable and seemed like not having a nice day. I asked for recommendations on the menu since it was our first time and she responded without looking at us and saying "everything is good. " When our food was brought to us, she just left everying on the table without saying anything we had to figure out what each order was. It was a tad on the expensive side but definitely worth it. I would love to return and make sure I eat there again for the best lobster sandwiches you will ever have.

0 stars if that were an option! HORRIBLE service. Would NEVER go there again. Don’t EVER step foot in this small, crowded restaurant with no seating area. Owner was really rude and terrible to us. They never gave us a chance to EAT! I don’t know what kind of restaurant treats they’re customers with such DISRESPECT. I’m honestly very DISGUSTED by the way they treated us.

We saw this place on Google and it had good reviews, so we decided to try it out. So glad we did. Me and my gf both ordered the Key West Lobster Rolls and our timing was impeccable. They ran out of lobster with our two sandwiches. They aren't cheap but when the rolls came out, the lobster was piled so high it wouldn't all fit in the bread. So delicious. Kind of felt bad for all the sad faces who got told, "Sorry, we're out of lobster" but not really. Lol. Anyways, try it out like we did. You won't regret it.
