The Madras Cafe reviews
17Ashburn was super friendly and very great in accommodating things. He is great abd enjoyed the food a lot.
Great service our food was amazing! Rich in flavor. Our server Ashburn was a great server very knowledgeable about the menu and gave us some great recommendations! Ask for Ashburn when you visit!
Omg if you are a bread lover, the bread is to fall for. Food over all good. Some was a new taste to acquire. Wasn’t a fan of the mango juice. We asked for all what you can eat. Will definitely go back again for more bread and try more dishes.
Prices are way too high; Portions are very little. They also try to trick customers. For instance, they have very little Chole (for the chole batura order) and on top of that it is filled 75% with gravy and very little actual channa in there. Quality of food is very poor. In the masala dosa they give you hardly any masala curry.
Food wasn’t good at all. Felt as if they were just warming up frozen ready made dishes. No authenticity in any dish.
This is a wonderful southIndian restaurant. Rava dosa was crunchy n awesome. Ambience is real good with a nice krishna statue with a green leafy background at the entrance. We savoured the coffee, the traditional madhrasi style in those small steel glasses n saucers.
Dash here if u wanna have south indian breakfasts.
We are from Indiana, we came for a vacation to orlando, searching for INDIAN options and we found Madras cafe with good ratings.we finally decided to go and we were.and ordered BABUBALI THALI which was like yum yum yum.we were so very happy for the delicious authentic food and visited again. Thanq Mr Ronald for ur suggestions and u made our day. My 6 year old njoyed his fav noodles and dosa. A Spl Thanq to the chef for the wonderful delicious food. Happily recommended.
Food really good very authentic, good price and good service Ashburn was very nice and cute
Super disappointed with this visit to Madras Cafe; my husband and I ordered 2 plates of idli and 2 dosas. The idlis were out within 2 mins. There is NO way they were fresh. The chatni had a smell to it - definitely NOT fresh and tasted as if some yogurt had been added to i. The sambar was lukewarm at best and was not fresh either nor tasty.
My masala dosa - the stuffing inside was so little, that I was shocked to see the quantity. We have been here before maybe about 10 months before - and the food was much better, fresher.
I will definitely NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone - and need to look for another south indian restaurant in the Orlando area.
I love the decor of this restaurant. The staff is very attentive, polite, and nice. Our server, Ronald, was awesome! The food was delicious.
Giving bad name to the South Indian food…absolutely lousy Corn Soup.they don’t even know how to make Rasam.very disappointing visit.
We went here by the reviews and ratings, so Pathetic. Coconut chutney was too salty, not even one curry in the Thali was good. And the ‘Aviyal’ they named in the thali was unappetizing. Cutlet provided was spoiled.
Best service. Great people. Awesome food. Love to go there every time in Orlando. Ronaldo and Leo are the best.
In a nutshell, Madras Cafe offers delicious food with a great emphasis on customer service.
I am allergic to any nuts/cashews. Since most Punjabi curries (if not all Punjabi curries at any Indian restaurant) contain nuts/cashews, I usually cannot eat them. However, with a great desire to try out one without any nuts/cashews, we contacted one of the managers, Leo, to see if they could make one without any nuts/cashews.
Their team delivered on this request, although it was a hectic evening, and the curry was the most delicious Punjabi curry I had tasted in the United States. The other foods my family ordered at our two dinners at Madras Cafe were also delicious. The servers - Ronaldo, Regan, and Fernandez - ensured they cared for all our needs during our time.
I would 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone - you won't be disappointed!
Food we tried out: Paneer Makhani (the one without nuts/cashews), Paneer Bhurji, Methi Malai, Paneer Pakoda
Everything was delicious, the service was very attentive and friendly, my new favorite restaurant.
Everything very delicious, the service very nice and friendly. It's my new favorite restaurant.
The Bhahubali thali they serve for dinner is awesome. Great option for vegetarians and South Indian cuisine
