The Meating Place West, Boca Raton FL

What can we say about this specialty butcher? Only fantastic things.

They helped us get through Covid-19 without skipping a nutrition beat. When Publix and other supermarkets were having huge problems securing a reliable supply of beef and chicken, this store had them for sale, each and every week.

The Meating Place has quality meats, seafood, prepared foods, and homemade soups. They carry Bell & Evans chicken which cannot be found in supermarkets. Their rotisserie chicken and cooked turkey breast make for delicious fuss-free meals.

When we want to change up the menu, they are able to bring in veal cutlets, baby back ribs, and some other meats with only a few days notice.

They are our reliable, go-to store for our annual Thanksgiving get together. Their sliced cooked turkey breast and cooked shrimp cocktail make entertaining a snap for us and a meal that our guests rave about.

Louis, Tyler, and Marcos know customer service and go above and beyond to make each visit a pleasant experience. Kudos to the entire team at The Meating Place! They are a real class act!

This place is great! I went in last week and was helped by John, he really took his time with me explaining the different varieties and cuts that they offer. Quality is important but when quality and service align it makes all the difference to me. Thank you! Try out the ribeye!

I bought filet from here about a month ago and I couldn't even cut it with a sharp steak knife. I Went back to tell the manager about it and he said we can't do anything about it, try a different steak. I
bought a ribye which looked gorgeous. I grilled it to a medium rare temperature and it was absolutely awful. I b Went back to tell the manager and he said he was tired of all you "Boca" people complaining. I live in Boynton. I wasn't asking for any money back, he just dismissed me

Among all of the reasons to love living in Boca is the Meating Place. The selection is fantastic, the help is very helpful and the food is excellent. I have been a customer forever and I appreciate the “old world” charm of this establishment. Thank you to the team and owner that makes this my go to place to feed my family and guests!

Terrible Ribeye.could not cut this steak with a steak knife. I told the manager about this issue. His response was I can't help you and I will not deal with your constant complaints. I was a customer here for many years and never complained. I will never step foot in this place again.

Just had a Bad argument at this place Don't go there Bought a whole chicken #1 16.80 #1 steak Burger 5.00 #1 chicken Kiev. 8.00 Half slab of ribs 15.00 total 44.80 they asked me for 57.00 I gave him a hundred dollar bill
And gave me no recite and the one guy wanted to fight me very unprofessional don't. Buy nothing from them the kid with tattoos said to come back he would pay me out of pocket

I got a short rib roast (4 ribs) and some short ribs (8). My total was like $470.high prices these days for beef.

Edited from owners response- The prime rib roast was a good cut and I don't really have any issues with that, everyone enjoyed it too.the short ribs were just very fatty and just didn't seem like 175$ for one crock port of short ribs was appropriate. I saw other local stores that sold at less than half of the price. Apologies for leaving such a negative review. I know this is an upstanding business that provides a quality butcher service but it just seemed like you guys are on the very high side for certain cuts, and I do understand everything is priced based on the market, for which beef is on the rise. Thank you for replying, didn't mean to leave such a hasty review but i was a little upset in the moment after paying

It is so far my place to get fresh meet, everybody in there it is so friendly and the give really good suggestions, the meet look so fresh and it is good.

It's most refreshing to find smiling, gentle and knowledgeable staff at a Meat Shop, but added to this, the selection of extremely high quality meats was superb. I bought 2 pounds of Filet and my dinner guests RAVED about the taste and quality. THANK YOU!
