The Miami Beach EDITION

This hotel The Miami Beach EDITION charges a lot of money for very little service. Check in from 4 p.m. And then leave the hotel again from 11 a.m. If you want to stay longer you have to pay. And late checkout or upgrade for Titatnium VIP customers? None. Although it says: If available there is an upgrade - this is what it says in this hotel: Only those who pay get an upgrade. Also, the rooms are not cleaned well. Air conditioning bad. It wasn't a pleasure to have booked there. Next time I'll book another hotel.

Hotel ok but very very expensive for what you get for money. Service is very very very bad though and management very arrogant. When we came back at our room late afternoon it was not serviced, so we called „guest services“ on the phone. When calling „guest services“ we got told that they were busy and that we should not ask services at this hotel (charging 1200 usd per night). The „manager on duty“ (which was more a wannabe than anything else) down at front desk told us that if we don‘t like your hotel we should go to another hotel, recommendation that we take seriously and that we are doing now. The actual manager coming up to our room was the first progessional we met at this hotel, but since we went with the recommendation of the „other manager“ and booked an other hotel we just left. In summary: don‘t go to this hotel if you expext a minimum of service and expect to be treated as guest instead of a fool. We moved to Nobu which is awesome

Absolutely amazing hotel. Club, ice skating rink and bowling alley in the basement. Beautiful lobby and bars

Spacious and modern rooms, the balcony facing the sea was a bit unfortunate with a concrete wall.

First class breakfast and dinner. Only the in-room dining (salad and wings) wasn't good.

I was in town for work staying at the AC hotel across the street (where my meetings were scheduled). I decided to stay an extra day to enjoy a spa day with my sister in Miami for our birthday. The Marriott app recommended the Edition Hotel Spa. So I booked 2- 75 minute massages which cost $720. The massage itself was great, one of the best massages I have experienced- it was everything else that was disappointing.

My spa service was a little after noon and we were asked to arrive and check in early. I checked out of the hotel across the street at 11am and headed over to the Edition to check into the Spa. Upon arriving at the Edition, their staff told us they could not hold our luggage for us while we were at the spa (our flight was 5pm that night). They told us we needed to walk back to the AC hotel to store our luggage while we were at their spa (again spending $720 for services).

Their spa included VERY little amenities compared to other hotels and spas. It only has a steam room and two showers. No pool access, sauna or hot tub to soak in. Their website does not clearly state that the pool is not included in the spa use. Rooms were about $700/night and even though I was spending $720 for 2-75 min massages- my sister and I were not allowed to go sit at the pool to kill an extra hour before heading to the airport.

The staff at this spa were not polite. The only nice people we encountered was a lady that hardly spoke English and the actual two masseuses.

The spa provided robes and “slippers” which were the comparison of dollar store flip flops- and charged $45 if you lost the cheap flops. No one ever asked my shoe size for the shoes- they just provided me size 5-6 shoes for my size 8-9 foot. Makes sense.

Overall I would not recommend this spa and the customer service at this hotel lacked enough that I will not be staying here on my next trip to Miami. You’re better off heading to the W or Ritz.

We stayed The Edition Miami from 11-15 Oct 2023 in 2 rooms 1129 and 1132. A terrible experience to say the least. The air conditioning vent door fell on us as it was not fit properly. Requested water and adaptors took 14 hours to arrive in our room after multiple followups. No coordination amongst staff members. Billing was incorrect. Not worthy to be part of The Edition family.

I was there 2 years ago and it was fantastic, unfortunately I was there 2 weeks ago got my wife’s birthday, we spend 6 nights, the leadership needs to bring back what really customer services means, staff will walk by you and not even acknowledge you, not even eye contact, my room card was blocked at 10: 45 am and check-out was 11am
The first night we arrived, next door suit literally had a party and over 15 people in there, we called front desk and they resolved the issue but still to have 15 people in one room throwing a party, then the last 2 days next to our room there was little kids that woke us up at 6 am crying (usually high end hotels separate adults by themself and then family to another area when we travel as a family this is what they do!) don’t get me wrong I have kids myself 3 of them.
I really hope leadership takes time to show them the culture of what a guest experience should be

We had an amazing stay at the Miami Edition. The facilities were impressive and the service was irreplaceable. Rossela at the front desk made my fiancé and I feel right at home from the get go and even proceeded to surprise us by sending a few goodies to our room. Truly first class! Luis the bellman was friendly and very accommodating after assisting us on multiple instances with our luggage. Julio working at the Market was a delight to talk to and very knowledgeable. It was always a pleasure seeing Matteo working the stand by the pool. He's an aspiring young professional with a bright future in this industry. The same can easily be said about Aziz who made our dinner at the Matador very special. I would also like to give Ksenia from Tropicale some credit for going out of her way to make my fiancé's birthday memorable. I think she is a valuable asset to the company and couldn’t be more thankful for what she did for us. We look forward to making a return!

5-star prices for 3-star service and quality. Rooms are dated and not the quality one would expect for a hotel at this price point. Also, directly in the landing path of MIA airport, so you get to hear airplanes landing at night.

My wife and I absolutely loved this place. The restaurants were amazing. The breakfast at the market was so good. Everyone was so nice and took amazing care of us. The bowling alley is a nice feature as well!

I expected sooooo much more from this hotel chain but in comparison with other hotels nearby this is really cozy and quiet and the pool and beach area is fantastic!

The service in valet and pool were fantastic everywhere else especially the front desk was below average.the manager was nice and explained everything nicely but couldn’t explain why 400$ was taken extra from our bank! For the rooms, it’s nice, spacious & clean the bed however was not comfy and I called to ask for slippers but never got them

I would recommend this hotel just keep track of your payments and keep checking your bank statements because they take extra withdrawals once you spend more than 200$ (from what I understood)

The Edition has great service and a beautiful property to enjoy it, but one person in particular takes the cake. Her name is Summer, and she is a nail technician in their spa.
Summer’s knowledge, care and commitment to her work is singular, only surpassed by her friendliness. She single-handedly made my experience at this hotel. If you come, make sure and get a nail treatment with Summer. She’s incredible at her job and she’ll make your day.

There are plenty of welcome drinks and amenities (please note that American hotels generally do not provide toothbrushes or toothpaste). Even though the room is spacious, every corner is kept well-cleaned. However, although it can't be helped, there are pigeons on the terrace, so I was concerned about their droppings and feathers on the benches and floorboards. That's just a shame.
The hotel restaurant has a grown-up atmosphere, with live music always available.
A gym and pool are also available for guests.
Also, I think this is the same for all hotels in Miami, but a resort tax is collected separately from the hotel fee.
The room I stayed in cost about 80,000 yen at the time, but including taxes, it was about 180,000 yen per night.

My husband and I came for to The Edition Miami for our anniversary. From the moment you walk in you will be amazed at how gorgeous this hotel is. This was our first time to Miami but by far one of the top hotels we have ever stayed in the U. S. The hotel smells amazing and the vibe is luxurious and zen like. Being in Miami can be so busy, full of partying, and hectic to say the least… which is why we had originally chose this hotel for our stay. I wanted a place that was close to attractions but something that also offered a sense of relaxation. This hotel exceeded every expectation I could imagined. Not only was it relaxing and immaculately clean, the service was top notch. Staff went above and beyond for us. We were given a complementary bottle of champagne to celebrate our anniversary, we’re treated as if we were their family, and always had smiles on their faces. Having a child, getting away with my husband for a trip come few and far between, which is why excellent customer service meant so much to us. The resort fee is low compared to other neighboring hotels, and offers so much more than the others. Included, guests have complements bikes available for rental, beach chairs and umbrellas on a private beach, towels, water pool side, bottle waters daily, and much more. The hotel is close to grocery and liquor stores and is just a short drive from the Brickell and Wynwood. I cannot wait to come back! Thank you to all the staff who made our trip so special!

This is our third time staying here. The costumer service and ambiance is phenomenal. As soon as you walk in, you feel welcomed. The scent is very soothing, the people are very friendly. The concierge gentleman, Sergio, is incredibly helpful, friendly, and accommodating. He definitely made our stay feel even more wonderful. We will definitely be returning.

I get that it's pricey but it is worth every penny for the service. From the moment you arrive, the service is above and beyond. I honestly can't remember the last time I had turndown service since COVID. The Miami Beach Edition has throughly impressed me beyond measure. I'll definitely be back!

I absolutely enjoyed my 10 night stay here! The staff is so kind and attentive! I can’t wait to come back. The host Rose was especially kind, gracious, and always welcoming!

SMH this check in time at 4 pm no exceptions. Pretty ridiculous. I booked 2 rooms and they can not accommodate me. Made me pay first and wait. Top quality from a “5 star hotel”. Was supposed to be special but they haven’t done a good job. Water is mid btw. It’s a Wednesday as well. Not even a busy day at the hotel.

Really nice hotel in north Miami Beach. Great lobby and lounge area, for hanging out.
Beach access. Close to everything.
Rooms are update and new. Very clean. Great service and staff.
