Went to a class on fall gardening in Florida at the Nectary today and had a great time. They’re known for their Florida natives which is great bc it’s hard to find a place that specializes in them. Every time I come here I learn something new. I definitely recommend.

Wonderful place to shop if you are trying to create a low maintenance Florida friendly landscape in your yard. The Nectary looks unassuming, but the back yard area had a huge variety of native plants to choose from. Prices are very reasonable.

I have not visited yet, but plan to in my attempt to try to build a butterfly and bee friendly area in my yard. I'm a bit concerned to see a picture of the milkweed that harbors the paracite that invades the Monarchs and therefore becomes deadly for them. I hope my information is lacking or incorrect, but this is inconsistent with trying to promote and in courage healthy insect populations.
I will at least get some passion flower plants, as I have been informed that the big name commercial home improvement nursery's use pesticides on their plants which in turn is a detriment to the insects. The key here is: research, educate, and use caution in our persute to beautiful and promote health.
