Rachel Penn was a delight! She assisted my father with his evaluation to get his drivers license back after suffering a stroke. Rachel & Doro made my Dad feel very comfortable during the clinical & driver evaluation, they made my Dad feel hopeful again, we are forever grateful for your kindness and professionalism in this process.

I am so thankful for the instructors at NeuroHub! They took their time figuring out what setup and equipment would fit my needs best and were so wonderful and informative every step of the way. They were easy to learn from and made sure I was driving safely and with ease when it came to the new equipment. I cannot thank them enough and recommend neurohub to anyone who is disabled and looking to start driving or relearn how to drive.

I heard about The Neuro Hub in the podcast Noggins and Neurons, which is a simply fantastic podcast for stroke survivors. I suffered a stroke in September of 2018, and I have been in therapy ever since. Fortunately, I have excellent insurance and I have been able to stick with skilled therapy for longer than most survivors I know. The stroke destroyed my motor cortex, so I was told that recovery of my shoulder, arm and hand would be very difficult, and that’s been my experience. When I heard about The Neuro Hub, which works with chronic stroke patients, I was determined to go there for one of their custom intensives. Finally, in October, I was able to make the trip. I’m so happy that I did! When you’ve worked hard for almost five years and still don’t have the use of one hand, it’s quite discouraging. Planning a trip to The Neuro Hub was a wonderful lift for my spirits. I’ve done a lot of reading about stroke rehab and brain computer interface (BCI) just makes sense. I was optimistic that it would be a way to jumpstart my recovery, and indeed it was! I just got home from three weeks at The Neuro Hub, and not only did I get improved active range of motion while I was there, I had what felt like a lifting of the brain fog that has been with me since the stroke. Today I had a therapy session with MedRythms, which is a gait training therapy based on neuro music therapy. My neuro music therapist noticed immediately that my walking was better. I realized that the BCI had jumpstarted my walking, too. I cannot say enough about the wonderful team at The Neuro Hub. If you’re a chronic stroke survivor, or have a chronic stroke survivor in your family or circle of friends, you owe it to yourself to check them out. The technology is amazing, and the traditional occupational therapy is equally wonderful. I learned things about my body that I hadn’t known, much of it very encouraging. I came home with a rigorous home exercise program so I can continue the high repetitions that are needed for rewiring my brain, and I’m happy to say that I’m off to a good start. If I continue, I’m convinced that I will see more improvement. Stroke recovery is certainly a marathon and not a sprint, but The Neuro Hub is a wonderful way to get a boost to continue running that marathon.

The Driver Rehabilitation program is outstanding! Doro and Rachel went above and beyond to make sure I am fully informed and prepared before I even got behind the wheel. They are extremely knowledgeable about what adaptive equipment will work best for you, and are there with you every step of the way even at the DMV! It feels so good to be back on the road and have my independence and my full life back!

Our son has been in OT treatment sessions for some time. His progress has been gradual, but when we found out about the Neuro Hub, Doro and Rachel took the treatment to an exponential level - more strength, more confidence and uptick in our son’s recovery. Their techniques and tools are fabulous, ranging from a high tech computerized EEG device to simple but effective ones. The latter type can be homemade, and Doro is so gracious to teach you how to make them, saving costs and being better equipped to continue therapy after a 3-week program. We are so glad that the Neuro Hub has given us a new pathway towards maximum recovery for our son. Highly recommended!

Just this week I went to take a driving evaluation with Doro and Rachel. From the moment I walked into the office Doro's enthusiasm was contagious! They both made the test easy and stress free. I highly recommend their facility!
