The Oyster Society reviews
18Me and my 6 girlfriends came to Marco Island for a nice get away and we had the privilege of eating at The Oyster Society. We give this restaurant 5 stars across the board. The service was perfect, food was delicious (She Crab Soup was my fav) and the cocktails were equally as good as well. Highly recommend reservations because it filled up fast in the evening. All of us loved everything about our evening here.
Absolutely Amazing. Best Oyster this far south of Grand Central Station, New York. Best described as wonderful in every way, coming from a seafood critic. Will be going back many, many time's, but I'll have to get a job to feed my addiction to this place. Hope to see you there. ENJOY!
This place is awesome. You want great seafood, this is it. Service is also impeccable. A must on Marco.
As usual, you get what you pay for and the staff is awesome! The hostesses were all really patient dealing with the crowd of people waiting for the place to open. Food is excellent too!
This was my favorite meal on Marco Island. The happy hour drinks and menu items were fantastic. I had the spicy tuna bites, and 1/2 dozen oysters. They key lime pie was also delicious. This was also the best service of anywhere we went!
Just devine, dined with Mom 85 and was a wonderful experience. Super team service concept and the place is big so don't skip it
A nice restaurant if you are willing to deal with some loud children, as the drinks and seafood is amazing. I had the scorpion roll and it was some of the greatest sushi I've ever had. I would definitely come back.
We made it to The Oyster Society for Social Hour last week. The restaurant opened at 4: 30 pm and when we entered the line in front of the restaurant at 3: 45 pm, there were already two groups ahead of us. By the time the restaurant opened, the line behind us was 20 - 30 people deep.
The special Social (Happy) Hour menu is available only at the bar or in the lounge from 4: 30 - 6 pm. There are bar seats available both inside and outside of the restaurant. While we made it to a table in the lounge area, most of the people in line behind us did not appear to get a seat for Social Hour. Moral of the story.arrive early if Social Hour is your goal.
The food and drinks were amazing. The drinks were strong, and one each was plenty for our group. We tried several of the small plates and the bread service. Everything was delicious. We would go back in a heartbeat.
Best cornbread I've ever had and I hate cornbread! $1.50 Happy hour oysters were FRESH. Sean at the bar was amazing! Will be coming back next vacation:)
Amazing place to eat seafood! The interior design is super cool and eclectic! Service is outstanding and very attentive. Food was prompt and delicious. They have complimentary valet parking otherwise parking is not easy. Several dining rooms to eat in along with outdoor dining. Highly recommend this place and the menu had a vast selection to choose from.
Seafood definitely fresh and delicious, service was on point and friendly. Menu has many options and everything looked so good it was hard to choose a dish. Scallops were amazing.
Went to this place for the first time tonight. Absolutely flawless. Amazing service, great atmosphere and incredible food. Will most definitely be coming back again! These smiles couldn’t be more real️️️ #loveandgoodvibesonly
Went for happy hour. Drinks are amazing. No skipping on liquor.
Had a dozen oysters. It’s great.
What an amazing place! We are in Marco Island for our anniversary & this is hands down the best place we’ve been to. The three fish entrees are great- I had the Potato encrusted grouper & my wife had the lobster sea bass combo- amazing recommendation from the bar tender. Also, what an incredible bourbon selection! EH Taylor, Weller, Bakers, Woodford & they even had Blanton’s & Blanton’s Barrel Proof (very hard to find) & many, many more. Incredible for a restaurant in Marco Island Fla to have Kentucky level selection- someone has connections. The atmosphere was awesome. We sat at the bar, great service. It has a upscale, model speak easy feel to it. You have to go!
One of the best atmospheres at any restaurant in Marco Island. The service was also elite, the team worked like a well oiled machine. Never had to ask for anything and the food came out quickly.
Most of our dishes were good but besides the mussels, all of our seafood was over cooked. The sushi was average but a nice touch to have on the menu. All in all a great experience with decent food. Would likely re-visit in the future.
I had the octopus appetizer and then the seared scallops with butternut squash ravioli and it was delicious
The place is full of people but we were able to sit at a small table in the bar area without having to wait
Yes, it is expensive but worth it
A must stop on any trip to Marco Island. Part of a regional restaurant group. High quality food offerings, it’s a bit pricy but in-line with similar quality restaurants. Lively crowd and generally always busy. I’ve been there a few times and one of my favorite things to do is go during happy hour and get 3 appetizers to share. The sushi is a great value, recently had fish ‘n chips app and Philly steak app. Delicious and outstanding plate presentation. Highly recommend.
