The Pearl Restaurant reviews
15The most flavorless food and had the nerve to charge $52.00 flavorless sea bass with tomato sauce and couple pieces of pepper. My server really capped when we asked for a recommendation. It wasn’t worth it for you.
Very underwhelming experience for the holidays menu. I ate in a booth with my family. My father and I both sat in the middle where our plates were off because it was 2 tables pushed together and even though no other tables were seated there was nothing to be done. The meals were very plain and the veggies were under cooked and bland. The appetizers were literally the best part of the meal. For the prices and the amount we spent I was hoping for more.
I chose to have my thanksgiving meal here and let me tell you, I’M SO THANKFUL I DID! The ambience is perfect, the food and service was amazing. I had the Filet Mignon with garlic butter along with mashed potatoes and yams. So so so so good
Wow! Wow! Very impressed with the dishes here! We had the escargot, lobster bites, lamb dish, St Jaques and wine plus Sangria! Everything was outstanding including our server, Lee! Highly recommend! This is my new favorite place
Our first time dining at The Pearl in Gulfport was remarkable! Per the website’s recommendations, we made reservations, so we were greeted and seated right away. They offer a phenomenal menu with many options to choose from. Among our party of three, we enjoyed the following: Coquilles St. Jacques, Lobster Bisque, Shrimp Pil-Pil, Filet Mignon w/potato and vegetable, and Chilean Sea Bass w/lemon saffron sauce, rice, and vegetable. Everything was prepared perfectly. Our waitress, Brittany, made sure that we were well taken care of. We learned that Chef Karim Chiadmi is Moroccan and is wife, Catherine, is French. Together, they draw inspiration from the best of the two cuisines. I strongly recommend The Pearl to anyone who is looking for a fine dining experience and is willing to leave their American palate at the door. Be adventurous! This place is a real gem!
Very noisy so was unable to even have a conversation with guests on our table. Food was good
Excellent food, good portions and great service. Something for everyone on the menu. Good wine list.
I had the scallops appetizer but since the Chef Karim is from Morocco it would have been better tasting if served on Moroccan rice with ginger, cinnamon, and cardamom; instead of cream sauce with Swiss cheese. The restaurant looks Moroccan but is a little noisy. Reviewed by Rebecca Cailor, Author of "Dinners Ready: Recipes for Working Moms".
We chose to eat there because of the rave reviews. Maybe we hit a bad night? It was just okay. Nothing about the food, the service or the atmosphere made us feel like we want to go back.
This is THE 5-star restaurant on Treasure Island. It offers true Moroccan cuisine, and certainly enables you to move through your courses with enough time to enjoy the entire experience. Take time to indulge in the cultural artifacts and take advantage of the chef’s tangine north-west African expertise. This is my fifth time enjoying dinner here, and it has never disappointed. The quality, freshness, and attentiveness to the meal preparation is unchanged. Do you research so you can pair your wine correctly, and don’t leave without trying the crème brûlée! Make your reservations early and don’t go in September because they close for the entire month. If you want a very special server, ask for Ashley from Pittsburg.
$$$, busy! Staff friendly, helpful
and efficient. Generous portions
quality of food 10+ and a "unique" selection (variety).
parking is a nightmare.unless
you luck out.timing is everything in life!
Always top notch service and the finest food. Try anything on the menu. It's all fantastic. The atmosphere is very nice. They have an excellent variety of menu items and interesting specials. So much better than most of what you find on the beaches. This is a great treat for a date night or special occasion but I don't really need an excuse for a great meal.
The Pearl was absolutely wonderful. There was a party of 30 there so the cooks were a little backed up but the food was astounding. Atmosphere was so welcoming. Thank you Brittany for the fantastic service. Get the escargot.
First visit.
Food was absolutely fabulous.
Bit pricey, I've had better steaks for the price, but I'll definitely go back and ty other dishes
