Lodging The Ranchion reviews
6Can I give 1/2 star? I mean the ground is flat, so 1/2 star for that.
The only way this place could be any worse is if there were two of them. No hot water and breakfast was expired pastries from a discount grocery store. The tea had no sugar, the bed was like sleeping on cardboard and there was not a closet in our room. Parking was almost impossible and the neighborhood seemed sketchy. The owners were really nice people tho!
Well
Starting with mopeds without mufflers.
Weirdos talking trash about hondas and praising Italian engineering was a bit much.
Watch out for the security system of the shaggy kind, very dangerous.
You would hope for running water and soap,
It's a bring your own operation.
I wouldn't recommend this place. Scooter trash running amuck and full of crazy hooligans! Very clickish. Stay away and find some place else to stay! Trust me now, and believe me later! You will be disappointed!
LOVE La Ranchion! Best hospitality ever! Can't beat the barbeque, bonfires, fireworks, and camping accomodations. Drunken disco dancing was the perfect finish to a perfect evening. Definitely will return!) ) )
The Ranchion…. Where do I start?
Whilst planning a romantic weekend getaway for myself and my boyfriend, this place came up on my search of Pensacola. There were no reviews so I just decided to take a leap of faith and book it. I have regretted it since.
Let me start off by saying that the couple who runs the place, while cordial enough, are completely inexperienced hoteliers. This is clearly their first attempt at being innkeepers and it is my opinion that they should stop. Just stop.
Need something ironed? Nope. Free shampoo and soap? No. Room service? No way! We were there for Thanksgiving which they had touted as their “all you can eat turkey dinner”. They actually served a turkey they had cooked in their YARD, in a TRASH CAN. It was so raw inside, a skilled veterinarian could have brought it back to life.
We did have our own private room, but there were no complimentary bathrobes or slippers. Even the Motel 5½ offers those! Did I mention they are directly across the street from a plasma donation center? The people going in and out of there are creepy.
With a name like “The Ranchion” one expects a certain level of service which they clearly fail to provide.
