The Restorative, Dunedin FL

We went there for a special occasion and didn't feel special at all. Service was very underwhelming, the ambiance lacks intimacy, the tables are spread and the space feels cool, the lighting isn't great. The food is good, portions are small. But what disappointed us the most was the lackluster service that didn't make our special occasion special at all. Won't be back.

Small menu of exceptional offerings, where you can tell the chefs thoughtfully creat their dishes. Wonderful balance of artisanal small plates and fulfilling dishes. Small and quaint present ability to offer intimate service

Outstanding meal. All of it seemed effortless in a very good way. Gnocchi were pillows of potato, Naan was perfectly puffy with the goat chili butter a standout accompaniment, pork chop was beautifully brined and cooked to perfection, and the Panna Cotta perfectly soft with a lovely melange of flavor.
The room itself is underwhelming to the stuffiest of crowds, but makes perfect sense in keeping the prices of the dishes well within reason.
Excellent meal overall. All the best to the staff and continued success.

This is a little hole in the wall restaurant with Michelin star restaurant vibes. It is not in the heart of downtown dunedin but very close. The food is phenomenal and the flavors are not basic at all. The presentation of the food is top tier. The service was great! I will definitely recommend to friends and family and will be returning.

The Restorative is outstanding, and the perfect place to go for a special occasion. I had the halibut, and my husband had the pork, and both dishes were wonderful. The na'an bread, appetizer, and dessert were heavenly as well. I can't wait to go back again!

A very pleasant surprise for Dunedin. Excellent food and service. The staff was friendly and they worked very well together as a team. The food changes on a regular basis, which is more than I can say about other fine dining establishments. So, if you like variety, that's a plus.

Another amazing dinner. Since they have a new menu weekly, every time we go it’s a new experience, but as always, everything was great. The chef does an amazing job combining so many different flavors that you don’t expect to work, but they just do. The pasta dishes are a great new addition that they started doing. Also, I see some people don’t like that the cooking prep space is open to the dining area, but that’s really part of the atmosphere. The bar seating puts you right next to the chef and you can talk to the staff and see things being prepped. It’s part of the vibe. Also, I love that the location is a very unassuming shopping plaza, makes it feel more unassuming and under the radar.

Cute atmosphere, waiter was super nice and we felt well taken care of. However the food while not bad by any means, did not impress me. There were copious amounts of garlic in the two dishes I tried, and I’m not a fan of that. They do change their menu often so I’ll be sure to go back and try it again!

Amazing restaurant! This was a great experience and the food was just amazing. New many every single week and we can’t wait to go back and try more and more.

What a gem! Go right now! This was Michelin quality in a very unpretentious and relaxing setting with top notch service. Flavors were well thought out and portions were satisfying. I am so glad I found this restaurant.

After wanting to dine here for years, we finally got to go and had a wonderful dining experience. The food was superb, unique, and memorable! Cricket was wonderful and kept the atmosphere perfectly relaxing for 2 exhausted parents looking for respite even if just for a meal. We will definitely be back and will recommend to everyone we know. Also, get 3 servings of the curry butter and Naan! Absolutely phenom!

10/10 experience! We took my mother in law here and ordered one of everything on the menu. The owner / chef was wonderful as was our server! I’ve been dying to try this place for over a year and the wait was definitely worth it!

We have been here at least 4 times. Every one of them has been an excellent experience. The food is always amazing, and it's nice that it gets changed up each time. The starters were difficult to narrow down. We had the corn brulee, scallops, and tortellini. We went with the branzino and the duck for entrees. The team here is top-notch and entertaining. We look forward to our next experience!

Had a wonderful, wonderful experience at the restorative. The food was absolutely divine; imaginative and creative, while still being approachable and appealing looking, everything was beyond incredible. The techniques, the ingredients, and the pure skill made eating at the restorative not just consumption, but an event in and of itself. Beyond good. If they have the Parmesan crème brûlée, get two. It’s absurdly good.

I brought one of my friends here for her birthday dinner. It was pleasant. I’m allergic to gluten & they were able to accommodate me.
We enjoyed a lovely white Prosecco to start off.
Then we both had the burrata, marinated artichokes, pinenuts, savory churro to start & roasted redfish, white beans, tomato sotto ollo, fennel, lobster broth for our main.
I honestly would have liked more burrata in the starter for the cost as it was such a tiny portion. The fish was decent in a flavorful broth.
The dessert of bruleed brie cheese, peaches, pistachio, basil was nice.
Overall we enjoyed our experience here.

We visited this restaurant this past weekend and our server Jeremy was awesome! The food was delicious! The only negative is the location and also when you walk in you can see the dishes being done. For the price it should warrant hiding the dishwasher and also consider the location. Overall the food was amazing and the service was fantastic!
