The Salty Mermaid, Ormond Beach FL

I love this unique, coastal art gallery and gift shop! I purchased one of the sea glass Christmas Tree kits and it included everything I needed to do it from home with the exception of the glue gun!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this cute little shop! Bought a DIY Sea Glass Christmas tree to take home to put together. The shop owner took the time to explain everything. My little one is going to absolutely LOVE it! Bought her an adorable seahorse necklace for Christmas too. Please check this shop out! You will not be disappointed! They ship and their DIY Classes are almost always sold out.

Beautiful seaside souvenirs and many made by local artists! The inventory from classy and sophisticated to a touch of whimsy. There is something for everyone; furniture, jewelry, paintings, hand painted glasses, candles, soaps, wind chimes, etc.

But, best of all, are the classes that have you meeting new and interesting people. The last class I took was with Janie Lew Art & Ink taught by Janie Lewandowski. My friend and I painted a mermaid's tail in watercolors. We thought working with watercolors would be difficult but Janie made it easy. We just loved them.

And Penny has made making resin windows so much fun. So many designs to choose from to make the stained glass resin windows. Everytime I have guests in town we go down to the Salty Mermaid and make a window. It is a wonderful keepsake for my guests to take home with them. My best friend called it art therapy!

Even took a class and made a couple of pairs of earrings for a gift to send to my granddaughter in Europe. Loved them!

The staff at the Salty Mermaid, Amber and Arlene, are always there with a smile, super helpful and welcoming. Which makes visiting the store delightful.

The store is so charming and it's such a delight taking the classes I just had to share with you all.

Penny is fantastic. A group of us met at the Salty Mermaid to make framed resin art. Penny was helpful, but not intrusive.

What an awesome shop! The art and craft selection is great and staff is equally awesome! Very friendly and eager to help. I'll be back for sure.

Had a fun experience decorating lanterns with a group of friends. Penny is the best! She provided us with an amazing selection of supplies, as well as her expertise. The finished pieces turned out great!

Excellent place to be creative, under Penny's instructions She provides the materials, and knowledge to make wonderful gifts to bring home. She helped me make a wave design with resin on a cutting board, and a shell decorated lantern. Waiting for my next class on Saturday for a Welcome Sign
