The Salvation Army Orlando Citadel Corps reviews
3 Weather was one factor then you have appointed time to start 11: 00a.m
But did not start until 12: 35 p.m. There were no true line with people skipping arguments for handicapped with finally bough to front of line. They were no take out trays to go for people came and needed to take food home to home care personal the now mobile. I myself left after one hour due to people smoking and skipping in line, where was security. I will never attend an Thanksgiving event @Salvation Army ever. Thanking you and yours, I remain.
I appreciate what they do for the community, but the lack of public information for people seeking to donate supplies is disappointing.
I came here on a Sunday to donate supplies for the residents living in the towers next door. There was no donations signage on the church property, so o drove to the towers next door. The security woman at the front desk said she doesn’t know anything about donations (how do you work for a charitable organization and not have been told about donations?) and told me to go to the gym at the church.
I drive back to the church. Gym doors are locked except one. I walk in; it’s empty. After walking through the whole building saying “helloooo helloooo”, I finally found someone. They were working with the children and couldn’t accept my donation of supplies, so I just left the stuff on a random table in the gym with a note.
For a charitable organization that has residents in need living on their property, you would think there would be a sign or box SOMEWHERE on the property for people to bring stuff.
I am in disbelief at how much help this organization provides to our community! I have been volunteering for a few months when I can and every time I go, my eyes are opened to the fact that this organization literally helps thousands of people with immediate needs! A lot of churches preach helping our fellow humans but these people put their heart, time and money where their mouth is! Thank you for all that you do for the people! The list is endless!
