The Shell Factory and Nature Park, North Fort Myers FL

This place is in the process of being updated. Currently, the nature center is a bunch of small handmade cages that are too small. The mini golf is falling apart. Don’t stand on the brick borders. They will fall out of place. However, they have made a lovely bar/restaurant there that seems nice and have updated their bathrooms that look especially nice with a mini chandelier. The store as always is a giant tourist trap with lots of souvenirs. Realistically, that is why people go there so it works out. I look forward to seeing how the place turns out once the renovations are done.

One of the most random, yet cool places I've ever been. The animal preserve they have on site was fun with lots of different animals and they even had a petting zoo! The gift shop was seriously never ending, and I LOVED the huge Christmas section. They have everything you can think of in this place including an American War History Museum and an ice cream shop. The bar/restaurant across the way was cool with a nice outdoor bar. Fun way to spend an afternoon!

Took my Grandson. Very nice for smaller children. Staff is very friendly. Good value. It's small but just perfect for smaller children.

Very good, well.prepaired food, one waitress works there with a bun on her hair, blond rude didnt acknowledge me entering for a table being crippled had to yell to get her attention to help me with a scooter to get closer to.the table and remove chairs

Absolutely disappointed with how down hill the reptile area has become in this facility. Please, your bearded dragons, are in terrible living conditions. Theres so many issues with this. If you need help just ask, and I will come in and help get proper lighting, and proper care to these poor babies.

Very sanitary especially being a petting farm. Will go again. Hand sanitizer stations and trash cans throughout the area.

Restaurant was leisurely, Food was very good, never rushed to leave.watched families embrace the fun, the food. It was a very nice day, and I was their alone mind you.

Amazing! So happy we found this place, animals are so cute an well taken care of. Fudge is amazing, so many gifts to pick from in the gift shop

Had a blast in the shell factory. So much to go through and lots of things for the whole family. They even let me bring my shih tzu in with me so they are extra cool

Went today! Ugh! Says it’s dog friendly, but don’t bring your dog! We wanted to go into the nature park, but “service dogs only! ” There was a merry go round and a retail gift shop, snd one restaurant!
Very disappointing!

This place has gone downhill! 12.00 to see barely any animals mostly everything was closed! Lesser animals to see in very poor condition and depressed. Your animals look dehydrated, exhausted and with heat exhaustion! Water should be in cages / pools and a bigger living area. The structures are poorly made and very small. The birds have bigger cages! This place needs to be shut down. I will not be returning ever again. It’s too depressing watching them suffer! This place isn’t worth it anymore! ! Florida isn’t a place to keep animals outdoors or in cages it’s way to hot here! !

The Nature Walk needs some serious TLC. I love that they take in surrendered animals but many of the animals are in small dirty cages. I did notice their food looked fresh and plentiful, which is a great positive but please please please get more regular cleanings and larger tanks/enclosures for multiple animals. There was a snapping turtle that could barely turn around in its tank and several cat species with mold surrounding their tarp and tin roofs. Each large animal had a fan in their enclosure during the 100 degree heat but only noticed the raccoons had a water bowl (which they tipped over). The macaws rock enclosure was covered in algae and mold. The camel needs more space as well as the zebra. Would I recommend supporting this place? Yes, to help save more surrendered animals and the workers seemed to really love caring for them. Would I recommend the owners invest more in providing comfort and healthier environments for the animals? Yes.

They have special to go to a ride is a cable ride.but really is not offering a good deal $10 per person if you ride twice e is $5 ride if you are party of 3 two go first then you switching for the person not ride they ask to pay and addicional $10 I think is not good deal.not going anymore.

While browsing near the bathrooms there was a strong smell of sewage. Roof leaks in multiple areas their solution to that is just puting buckets on the floor around the store. Wet slippery floor no signs to warn you. Outside outlets are exposed to the elements on the ground no protection on them (while downpouring rain

Been going there for years! So many cool things to see great place to browse eat fudge, ice cream or have a drink at the tiki bar. Kiddie rides and zoo also.

Alot of junk sold here. Nothing of quality just endless cheap trinkets and junk jewelry. The Christmas section has some quality stuff but it's overpriced.
