Such a nice place to do your rehabilitation, it's beautiful, clean and the food is good. The Villages Rehab specializes in therapy and it's evident right when you walk into the giant gym. Loved it there

If you care about your loved one at all I would not put them in this facility. This facility is dirty. Alarms go unanswer
ed for hours and you cannot find anyone to help when you need it. A lot of the techs sit out there on their cell phones instead of doing their job and obviously there is no supervision. It is pretty bad when you have to hire private caregivers to be with your loved one at a facility because they can't do their job. Add to it that no one returns your calls. Quite frankly I'm surprised the State or the Health department has not stepped in.

Spent over a week in this facility. This place is horrible! The place is dirty and in disrepair. On one occasion they brought me the wrong medications. On several occasions the dosages were wrong. I witnessed a patient yelling for help and a nurse walking right by the patient and ignoring her. The food is terrible. On one occasion that I was a patient we received breakfast at approximately 10am. I was told the entire kitchen staff did not show up for work and the nurses had to do the cooking. I had a follow-up appointment in Orlando, where my surgeon was and surgery was performed, transportation never showed up. This was even after I confirmed transportation would be provided several times with staff. Was told after not being picked up a vehicle broke down the day before. I could have provided my own transportation had I been informed. So missed follow-up appointment, then ended up in the hospital with an infection the next day. The best outcome from this was I was removed from this facility! I had a JP drain from my surgery and a couple of times I had to give the nurse instructions on how to provide care for it. Beds are old and very uncomfortable. Equipment, such as wheel chairs, are old, rusted and generally in poor condition throughout. I brought in 2 of my own prescribed medications, returned once I was recovered sufficiently to retrieve them. Was told they had to find them and would call me to pick up. You guessed it, never received a phone call so medications were not returned. There are some good staff here, but there are many with terrible attitudes and could care less about the patients. On one occasion I heard a staff member tell a patient she liked him and would make sure he received the proper care! Wow! So you better make sure you are liked! I would stay away from this place if at all possible. Absolutely horrible!

I found my grandma facing a wall sitting in her wheel chair incoherent with her eyes rolling in the back of her head. We had to call ems. If I didn’t go to visit her she would have been dead. This facility and their staff cover up so much corruption and gross negligence it’s ridiculous. They pay off lawyers to not get sued. Highly corrupt facility, don’t recommend.

My mother is there and we’ve met some great resources with planning for when she is released and PT has been really helpful, but I find it almost a conflict of interest when we were signing up with having a private caregiver and one of the employees for the rehab says she has her own caregivers that can come in to sit with my mother. Thankfully between my family and I she has someone there, extremely unprofessional. I can’t believe they knowingly employ someone to up-sell their personal company.

The Staff are not attentive to their patients, get attitudes when asking for updates or guidance on what measures we as family can do to help.

They seem like they're there for a paycheck, not to actually actively fulfill their roles as medical professionals.

I believe a training overhaul is in order to ensure the best quality of care for the patients entrusting their health to these "professionals"

Put away the TikTok, and focus on quality of care.

Rehab is top notch! 5 starts for REHAB. They were able to move my husband through in 2 weeks. He put his all into it and did everything he needed to do and was released! I'm so proud of his work! He had a lot of support. We were pleased that I was able to take full responsibility and take him out of the center during the day (10: 00 am to 7pm)! We spent family time together. It was a big help in his rehab, cause we walked Walmart and other stores. I would recommend this place for rehab. It was number 1.

The CNA care could have been better. I got him up, I got him dressed, I got him ready for breakfast. I was the one helping him to the bathroom. Unfortunately, I don't think I can recommend that part of it. Call lights weren't being answered. Water was hard to get brought in. I just started doing it myself. I'd give the care part of it 3 stars. Needs a lot of work!

I was a patient at Villages Rehab for three weeks after two weeks in the hospital. I was very weak. I was unable to walk, stand, sit. Villages Rehab’s staff, physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses aids, RNs, even housekeeping were kind and nurturing. The physical and occupational therapists returned me to my former self.
I sincerely thank everyone - most especially my physical therapists Holly and Matt, my occupational therapist Bunny and my RN Sonya.

I would like to express my thanks to all the workers that have made a difference in my recovery. There's nothing they won't do for me. Their interest has been in helping me recover.

Although I have minimal experience being in a rehab this has been one of the most horrendous experiences of my life. There was no communication between the professional staff and me as well as to my surgeon. I am lucid and oriented and could advocate for myself but I really fear for those residents that are not able to advocate for themselves nor have any support system any support system

This is my 2nd time around and i would not choose any other rehab. They have got to have the best pt and ot in the world they care about you come check on you. Every time i asked for something from my Cna she is always there. People just do thing for you without even asking. Everyone is so thought for.

I was in this facility on May 23,2023 to pick up a family member who was being discharged. While waiting, I witnessed several interactions between patients and staff. The way the staff, including RN’s, spoke to the patients was disturbing. They were demeaning and rude. As a retired RN with 30 years experience, I was appalled. I would have never considered speaking to my patients in that way, or having my staff act like that. The Director of Nursing should be embarrassed at how the staff behaves.

Though many of the people who are in staff there are nice. Most say they are going to do something and it never happens. For instance my Dad was in a lot of pain. I told the nurse and she said she'd get him something. And 20 minutes later a nurse practitioner calls my phone. I was in his room where he was wearing himself out begging for help. She said she'd order him something. So we waited with me going out to look for the nurse at the desk several times. Kept going and looking for her. Finally she was sitting there talking with another staff member. They ignored me. I stood there by them for a little bit and finally butted in because they were just shooting the breeze, personal stuff. I told her my Dad had been laying in there begging for help for over 45 minutes and I was told half an hour before the nurse practitioner would send pain meds down. Well the nurse at the desk said well don't see the orders. Oh. Wait here they are. Extra strength Tylenol. Heck I could have given him that. Then she had to go find them. Took over an hour for him to finally get them. He wasn't eating either. Yet I would see them say he'd eaten. He wouldn't get out of bed for PT. They sure called me to complain about that! The nurse practitioner did a CBC on him. Called me to get permission to do more tests because his results were all kinds of bad. I don't think she would have told me if she didn't need permission to do more. I let her have my permission. Never heard back. You can call and call people there and you never hear back from them. I was in there every day and could never get ahold of that nurse. The social worker. Case manager asked me to do a review. Well guess what. Less than two weeks after he went home with home care he passed away. Yes it is nearly two weeks since he's passed. Still can't find much to say about the place that is good. I tried and tried to get more information about what was going on with him. I could never get information. They prefered to believe he was just being stubborn and grouchy rather than pay enough attention to him to alert people that something might be wrong. I am not saying the end result is their fault. The end result was inevitable. However being there everyday. There were quite a few times I heard people groaning and asking for help. They were pretty much being ignored. I'm sure that I don't know any of those people's situation. But just saying. Here is the review you asked me for. This is what I saw and heard. This is my opinion and what think. Please! Think twice about sending anyone you love there.
