I usually come and tell them it doesn't matter who does my hair. But after last week i settled on Carmen! Always takes good care of me. And hair always comes out silky!

My son goes here to get his hair curly permed they do a great job, and they are always friendly and clean.

This review is for my last visit to Thelma's Hair Design.

I paid a much-needed visit to this business earlier this month. I was in dire need of a haircut. If you like the idea of having a nice lady who has a gentle courtesy trim your hair, and wash it for $20, you'll feel right at home here!

Generally, the folks who work and visit here as customers are quite friendly. On the downside, if you want a short haircut, don't count on it. Thelma's Hair Design is more of a hair-styling place than an actual barber shop. Keep this in mind, especially if you're a guy, like me.

Reviewer's Edit: If you happen to arrive at this business and you notice their door is locked, but you see customers inside, KNOCK! As long as you're wearing a mask and willing to have your temperature taken, the staff will gladly grant you access. They serve all nationalities, too!

I got my hair relaxed here. It was a great experience and it wasn't overpriced. Even though I couldn't speak any Spanish they treated me really nicely. Miledis was awesome when she did my hair. Having the wall in option really helped in my situation.

I have very kinky hair and Blanca always blows it out perfectly with no heat damage. Ive been going to her for a few years.

I was referred to the Salon and was told to see Blanca. Well I am so glad I got that referral. I received a very bad haircut from another salon and at this point just have to wait to have it grow out. I saw Blanca and she has been so helpful with shaping up and fixing my hair. I will definitely be returning to Thelma’s. Thank you so much Blanca great job!

I've been here twice and had my hair done by 2 different stylists. The first one was quiet and not too nice. She kept burning me while blow drying. My friend was looking at my facial expressions and mentioned to the lady that she was burning me, then the owner blamed me for getting burned as my head position was wrong. My hair was nice and straight until the next day by noon it was frizzy. I went back a second time and while the other stylist was nice and didn't burn me, she was slow and my hair didn't last one hour before becoming frizzy.

I have used Thelmas for many years. Never have I walked out not perfectly satisfied. They do a beautiful job, are friendly and follow exactly how you want your hair. Millie follows my wants even though I'm sure sometimes she doesn't think it's the correct choice. Had my nails done today and the manicurist did a wonderful job. When I leave there I'm always pleased and know I look better than I came in.

I have been doing my hair with Meleidi at Thelma's Hair Design for several years, and I'm very happy with the result every time. All the stylists are very professional and friendly. Everyone that walks in the salon gets a special greeting from Thelma. I recommend Thelma's Hair Design highly no matter what type of hair.

I had a great expirience coming to this salon. The lady's are super nice and very professional! I used to live in doral, so im new to hollywood. And saw the salon while i was shopping in publix, which is right next to it. Decided to try it, and i dont regret it.

I recomend it. They sure now what there doing.

I’ve been a client of Thelma’s Hair Design for 13 Years. I would never trust anyone with my hair. Thelma and all the stylist are wonderful. I’m partial to my fav which is Blanca!

I went to get a hair cut and i experience the worst day of my life, they messed up my hair i had somewhere else where they had to cut almost all my hair.i went back for a refund and they denied and they were very nasty about it.

My hair did not come out like I wanted it too. It was puffy from the time I left the salon. Not enough time and care was not taken on on my hair. I would not go back to this salon

LOVE IT! I got highlights and the keratin treatment and Thelma did an amazing job, she is truly an artist! I have (or had) big puffy/frizzy Dominican hair, and it is so much more manageable now. If I dry it with curlers it comes out smooth and straight, but with a lot of volume as though it had been blow-dried. And when I let it dry naturally, it looks like a tamer/better/calmer version of my natural hair. WAY more improved (I can even de-tangle it in minutes now without breaking any hair! Something that would have taken hours before!) So easy to wash too, I'm really loving my "new hair! " Thanks Thelma!:)

No sense of hair color. Wanted the same color, asked to pay attention on demarcation, so the grey hair would be orange. Had medium auburn. Thelma changed color to medium brown without my knowledge.
She didn't know on how to balance the color for demarcation and medium brown everything. Never again.
Color correction at another salon. Tell the truth - I'm not good at it, but don't change my hair color without my consent.
