THORNTONS, Tampa FL

Unfortunately the pumps here are having issues. I put in gas last night and only got $2 dollars worth of gas and tried to have it pumped at another pump but cashier just refunded the transaction when I just wanted the gas pumped at another pump. Evening manager apologized and asked to come back inside and pay again for gas but I was running short on time and had to leave.

I then went to the bank as its the first but did not see the refund or any pending refund just the charge and the bank teller did not see anything pending or coming in. I went back in to ask for the manager but they just told the cashier to give me a card no explanation didn't even get a chance to talk to them. Called the number for guest care and Sherry helped me out and was wonderful explained that it takes 2 to 3 days to process the return and that I should see it by Thursday and to call back if I have not as card transactions have to go through corporate.

I understand because of covid that social distancing is key, but to have no explanation given just handed a card by the cashier really left me with a bad experience here. I work as a service manager and customer care is number one for any retail. A simple explanation of "unfortunately card transactions have to go through corporate, but here call this number and they will be happy to assist you" would have done a lot to assure me that they were taking care of the issue and that I was not ripped off. All in all the evening crew and customer care line were great but daytime not so much.

The customer service was lovely. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff! Fast, fun, friendly service.

Good selection of drinks - found a couple energy drinks I've never had before. My new favorite stop on the way to work in the mornings!

Man I love coming to this store at night I always get the best service. The night crew is awesome and always has great customer service. And plus this store doesn’t close at 2am for a hour like the other one on Armenia and Hillsborough. I don’t give out too many reviews but this store is a up for me.

Is very busy location. I can never get a printed receipt from the gas pump and always out of paper towels. Employees are typically rude and untrained. I'm forced to use this location due to work so I'm often there one to two times a week and this situation is always the same.

UPDATE: 7/22/19 Scott from corporate contacted me today in regards to the issue I had with pump #8. He was professional, and assured me he’d make sure the pump was calibrated. Very pleasant and didn’t doubt my story. Thank you Scott, I will give Thortons another try

Never had a problem with Thornton’s up until today.
Their gas pump is off, it charged me for 22.4 gallons and I filled up when I had a 1/4 tank left.
I’ve NEVER put more than 20. Gallons in my car EVER. SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT WITH THE PUMPS.
Manager said Customer Service will make it right it right, we shall see. In the meantime, careful when you pump.

UPDATE: As of 7/20/19 NOTHING has been credited back to me. They denied there was an issue with PUMP#8 the evening I filled up. They did say there was an issue two days prior with that pump but nothing as of that day.

I just want to let you all know today 7/21/19, I filled my tank up and the GAS LIGHT WAS ON and I was on EMPTY. (NOT a 1/4 tank like when I filled up at store #705)
I could ONLY pump 19.04 gallons.
The pump at your store WAS INACCURATE. I WAS OVER CHARGED.
I have filed a complaint with the State and would like someone from corporate to contact me, please.

Great prices and awsome spot to get snacks for the road. Had an addiction to the cronut for a while and the ice chips

This is by far my favorite gas station, I love the variety of food and drinks they offer and I cannot get enough of all the perks they have to offer when you become a rewards member, specially the gas price!
