24A new addition to my rental variety. Prices are much lower than other chains while providing better service. Thrifty has become my first choice for future rentals.
Will never rent with Thirfty again. Waited in line for over 30 minutes only to find out they didn't have the convertible car I reserved 3 months in advance. When I questioned why they didn't when I had a reservation the staff told me that they had a busy day with convertibles and a reservation doesn't hold a car for me. So now it's 11pm at night with my wife and 2 kids in an airport and no car. They made a call and had to get a car cleaned and brought up from Hertz which took another 30 minutes. The same exact thing happened to two other people in line behind me as well. The staff tried hard but their system is highly flawed!
Worst rental company. The agent at the Jacksonville airport is dishonest man.
Make sure to read the contract before signing it. Check the car safety.wipers did not work properly, the car front wheels were out of balance the whole car was shaking at high speed. Called customer service three times no help at all.

This company needs to give MAJOR Customer Service Training to their rental agents. Just had to deal with LaToya at the Jacksonville Airport rental office. She was rude from the get go when posed with just a simple question, and her attitude just got worse as my wife and I were trying to get this done. I said cancel the reservation because your attitude stinks. I asked for a confirmation and she snapped “you’ll have to go online. ”
NEVER again with this company!
DON'T RENT A CAR WITH THIS COMPANY.
The worst experience on rental cars, they are supper shady, they don’t pick up the phone, they overcharge you. This business should Be dismantled.

Very good customer service, easy, and convenient pickup and drop off. Not to mention, all the staffs were very friendly and go out of their way to help.
It's good that I Got a Car Rental but it's not the one I wanted but overall experience excellent
Denied my “blue chip” reservation for government travel because their card reader wouldn’t scan my government card and they refuse to enter the numbers manually. Also refused to let me pay any other way.
So sad.
I had reservations for a rental car at this location. The three women working at the customer service refused to rent me a rental car because I was wearing a Trump Make America Great Again hat. They claimed that my credit cards were not valid. Thrifty used discriminatory practices to deny me a rental vehicle. Avoid this location at all costs! Fortunately, I was able to rent from a competitor in the airport terminal that gladly accepted my business.
Staff is totally unprofessional and it took almost 2 hours to get my car even though I had a reservation. The manager ended up calling me the next day to apologize.
If you go through the website, you have the option of taking their insurance or not, so we opted out of it. Got to the counter and was told we HAD to have it and was charged almost another 100. In fees. Will never use thrifyt again.

Like many others reviewers, this place is a scam. They will swindle you into their "Damage Waiver" even if you don't ask for it. I was never asked to agree to pay for their extra insurance nor did I agree to any waiver, but it was put in the contract anyway. When I called their national customer service, they did not care at all nor would they do anything about it.
I originally was reserved for a pick up truck, but after and hour I was given a small suv.although it was not a truck I was stil able to do all my task for the week. The reps were excellent doing there best to place me in another vehicle and I am greatful for that. GREAT JOB! Thank you thrify!
Have to give thrifty 5 stars. We picked up our rental in Tampa, with no issues. They did want to sell us the insurance but we have a great policy with Commerce Insurance so wee declined the additional insurance. Pick up was easy, drop off was quick and efficient. We dropped off at Jacksonville. Typically we rent with Thrifty since wait times tend to be less and we've never experienced any issues. Happy with our expeirence and rental car.
Reserved a compact. When I arrived the clerk tried very hard to talk me into a larger car. When I insisted that all I needed was a compact she admitted they didn't have any. Had to wait 20 minutes until they could get one there. Not the worst experience but not the best.
Total scam! Do not use! Charged over double the price when I went to pick up the vehicle. Since it was after 6: 00 on a Friday, I could not get ahold of the customer service department because they were closed until Monday. Terrible experience.
Be wary of extra charges they put on at the counter. My total bill came to $100 more than what I had originally reserved for. They put in an extra $30/day loss/damage waiver that I did not agree to and didn't notice until later. When I called they said they couldn't take it all off at that point. Very underhanded.
After many years of renting from Thrifty and Dollar, they have lost me and my family as a customer.
Horrible service - rude counter rep. Had a reservation but no cars available. Waited over 30 mins, it's like they didn't expect they would be renting cars today?
Absolute garbage! Made a reservation online that told me one price then call to confirm the price and when I got there it was way higher. After taking off from work to get the rental, I was then told I had to find a different rental company because they can only swipe the card once in 24 hours. Maybe you shouldn't have tried swiping my card for almost $100 more than what I was told online and on the phone! Pure garbage!
