Tidewell Hospice - Venice Hospice House

This was the best healthcare my father has received since moving to Venice six years ago. My father passed away very quickly after be putting under hospice and I cannot say enough about all the nurses and social worker. There were on top of absolutely everything and made everything so much easier during the most difficult time of my life. Thank you!

My father & step mother both passed here at this very caring & beautiful place. I would highly recommend it. My father & I fell in love with their puffer fish that always seemed to respond to us. That's a memory that I will cherish. We had a long 3+ hour drive to get there & missed visiting hours by 10 min. He had only been admitted just hours before we got there. They were generous enough to roll him out to the screened in patio in his bed so that we could say good bye. We couldn't touch him, but I believe that he heard us & felt our love, & that is much then others have been afforded. We are so grateful, I can't express it enough. Thank you all so much for bringing them both much needed comfort & going above & beyond in the support of them & the family during the last moments of these beautiful lives.

Sadly I canNOT recommend their services at all, Go somewhere else. My dad died in January a horrible death with under wrongful circumstances, I needed emotional support and they said "Sorry we can't help you cause you don't live in Florida. A week ago I got the donate to us letter. Saturday my mom died. They were NOT kind or helpful with us trying to get the death certificate so we could bury her out of state. They sited state law, and other things- informative but defensive. My kids are in healthcare, I have compassion regarding their situation but it's been 4 days - more than 72 hours state law! And NO death certificate signed by the Dr. Not to mention the flip from patient to hospice patient debockle. Missing meds etc. If you plan on burying out is state use another company. Tidewell you missed out on a nice donation and referrals.

The entire staff is fantastic and the care was more than I could ever want for my beloved Mother. A beautiful atmosphere, compassionate staff, all of them including volunteers. I plan to volunteer in 3 1/2 years when I retire and I look forward to it!

They took great care of my grandmother AND they took great care of us. Gave us the space and time we needed yet were also very attentive to our needs. Tidewell holds a special place in my heart. Much thanks to you all there.

The people at Tidewell were extremely helpful and compassionate. They supplied everything we needed to make our father's last days as comfortable as possible. Cannot thank them enough for that. I would highly recommend them.
