Tijuana Flats

Ordered take out after our Bush Gardens trip and it was HORRIBLE. I seriously don't know what's going on at this location? The portions are always different and the meals are always wrong or made different. The food was gross and $18 for a megajuana chimi and it was tiny as hell! Over $50 for 3 items of take out. I'm definitely over this place/location. Save your time and money, just go somewhere else!

Yikes what a disappointment. See through lettuce, gobs of fat where carnitas should be. I wouldn't have served this.

Been years since going. Had family in hospital and we did a to go for dinner. We ordered online and picked it up.

This location is in need of some renovations. The front doors look horrible repainted and somewhat disgusting. Some of the areas in side are old and dirty and need updating.

Unfortunately the food was not good.
The order was wrong and had jalapeno peppers on my burrito. I'm not a spicy fan! The chicken taste was less than average.
The rice side was HARD and seemed to have been dried out. Tortia was heavy thick floury. Bought a large Guac in additon to the order and it was bla-zey. The cokes were water down.

So.two burrritos and tiny sides, two small cokes, Large Queso and Large Guac.almost $50 bucks!
I wouldn't have minded if it was GOOD.
Will NOT be going back!
Chipoltle would have been a better option!

Also you use to have the best sweet tea. NOT anymore!
Tried that and it was so bad I had to change to a coke.that turner out to also not be so good either.

Love the queso. I love their specials. Last tacos had old lettuce, missing cheese and sour cream.

Chips and hard tacos were very stale soda was flat service was good. I was told they cooked the chips and taco shells this morning and just warm them up. Asked for refund and left.

Update (9/12/23) : Order pickup is still horrible. They ALWAYS omit items from your order. Annoying.
Ordered online. Nobody acknowledged me as I waited at the pick up counter. Finally got my food 25 minutes after the pick-up time. Unfortunately I didn't check my order, and when I got home items were missing and the food was cold.

Have been going there for years, probably last 6 times I gave gone, I get more tortilla than fillings. Tonight we were very disappointed and probably will be my last. Many other Mexican restaurants to choose from.

This was the worst place I've eaten in recent memory.

The lettuce was clear and soggy, like it had been frozen and thawed. The tomatoes were old and sad. Other parts of the tacos (even the meat) were cold. We were debating if they took the tacos off someone else's table and resold them to us. The $5 margerita was overpriced.

I'd be surprised if we don't get food poisoning.

They're medium size chimichanga has shrank significantly it's essentially a kid's meal now. The girl behind the counter told me the portions have become smaller but the price of course hasn't changed.

I’m a frequent TFlats customer, and this location gets worse each time we visit. Downtown isn’t as close, but it’s worth the drive for friendly staff and a clean restaurant. The wait to order was ridiculously long, and 2 people that ordered food after us received their food first. We weren’t told they were out of shrimp until after they charged us. We weren’t offered a refund of the $2+ difference, and when asked, the cashier was rude and said that when the manager gets off the phone they will take care of it. She gestured toward the manager, who was sitting at a table wearing a Subway shirt on the phone loudly complaining about another employee, and saying how much she wants to be transferred to another location. We ordered a large queso and were given very few chips to go with 2 orders of tacos and the large queso. The queso came out cold with a thick layer of hardened sludge on top, and was chunky all the way through. When we asked for more chips we received a rude warning that they should be charging us for the chips, and that we ordered the queso as a side. She was rude and argumentative when we questioned why we wouldn’t get more chips with a large bowl of queso. Had we known to order it as a “starter” and not a “side”, we would have gladly paid the extra $1 for chips had we known it was coming with the meager amount they put on our trays. Bad experience overall. Glad there’s another location nearby. We will be back to T Flats, just not this one.

Taco Tuesday was great today!
Awesome friendly dark haired girl took my order with a smile and food was good. Pay the dude with the RED AFRO more money - he is an asset! He is a hard working and always smiling.

Slowest store in Sarasota.the place could be empty and it still takes 30 minutes for a taco.

Again, they sent a half bag of chips for a large order of queso. Someone who claimed to be the manager hung up on me. It is not enough chips to accommodate the queso. Why so stingegy with the chips? Your food and service aren't enough to accommodate my patronage. Disgusting behavior. If that is the standard the manager is setting for how to treat paying customers, then what standard is being set in the kitchen with the people handling the food? NOT MUCH OF ONE, I'm sure. This happened on May 25th 2023 at 6: 56pm. Will the real manager please stand up or at least remove the sludge from your staff? Judging from what I am reading of the other reviews of late, this place is going downhill fast. And the only good reviews have professional glamor shots of the food. That is so phony. Kardashian much? Filtered pics, no substance. I didn't get what I paid for and was treated poorly for it. Good going.way to take pride in your job and establishment. Keep it up.

A great taco shop. Not much else to say. They serve everything from borritos to nachos. Staff is usually kind and respectful.very knowledgeable about their menu.

Dont order doordash /Uber from this store.they dont using the timing mechanism to time the pickup so drivers end up leaving because no driver is going to wait 20 minutes.you food will get cold sitting on the shelf until another driver shows up.but no driver wants to go there because they know its going to be a 15-20 minute wait 99% of the time.

4 years ago I gave them four stars. They have really gone downhill since then. The place is always grimy looking. The floor is greasy. The bathrooms are almost "outside service station" bathroom condition. The free salsa cup is now 1/4 the size it used to be. The hot sauce bar should have a sign stating, "use at your own risk" because it's so nasty. They also stopped stocking Dos Equis beer and now they sell Bud light products.

Ba bam! This place is the bomb diggity! Good hot food. Service was happy happy happy and the strawberry lemonade will make your tongue slap your brains to death. BA BAM!

Excellent good. Great customer service. We ate outside under one of the fans and thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. The only negative was the flies, but they like it there too!

Excellent choices of hot sauce! Tacos were good. It was Taco Tuesday! Staff was exceptional and friendly.
