Update. It is now 5 months latter and no one from their office thought it might be a good idea to contact me about my experience.

On 6/2/2020 I had a very unpleasant experience with the Timothy G Herring dental group, over there bill.

I went to see them because I thought I had a missing filling in a rear molar. Even after telling them that in light of the Covid 19 situation money was very tight the dental hygienist insisted on taking an x-ray before the dentists would even take a look in my mouth. She even looked in my mouth and decided that absolutely there was a problem and I needed the x-ray. Which as it turned out was totally incorrect.

The dentist advised after 30 seconds of looking in my mouth that there was just a slight indentation in the rear molar and nothing needed to be done. I was there for less than 15 minutes and was charged $183. Of that $35 was for the x-ray $150 was for 10 minutes at the dentists time, almost $1,000 an hour. She also told me that a new crown was about $1,800 which is about 50% more than than my normal dentist who was not available.

I recommend you find out what their charges are before visiting their office there are much less expensive alternatives that do great dental work in Sarasota. LIve and Learn.

I would be remiss however not to add that the dentist that I saw, Annette Harriman, appeared very competent, was very friendly, and had a wonderful personality.

I love Dr. Herring. He and his staff made me very comfortable, in spite of the fact that I've neglected my dental care. Don't hesitate to choose him for your dental needs.

On 01/31/2020 I broke a tooth while having breakfast with friends and family. Dr. Herring saw me at 4 or 5, that day. A Friday. I was X-rayed, had a consultation, and an appointment for Monday to prepare the area and get a temporary crown. The Doctor and staff knew that I was VERY apprehensive about shots! I never saw it coming, didn’t feel a thing! I will get better as I mature. I’m 70. I will get the new crown later today, February 4,2020. What an outstanding experience. The care was and is outstanding, the price! Very reasonable, no extra charge for speedy service. Yes, I highly recommend Dr. Timothy Herring.

After moving here in 2018, we were fortunate to find Dr. Herring and Dr. Harriman. This practice is absolutely the best! Kind and thoughtful staff. Sarah is the best hygienist I have ever used and Dr. Harriman so friendly yet very professional. I highly recommend this team.
