TooJay’s Deli - Bakery - Restaurant reviews
17Horrible and dry food, disastrous service, They make faces and do not respect you when they serve you, I ordered a turkey sandwich and they gave me a turkey ball with bread
Very bad attention! They didn't want to serve us! For this attitude they should have been closed if they did not want to work
Time for new management! Went to pick up a catering order that I placed in person at the restaurant in Plantation several days ago. Employees had no idea what was going on. Could not find my order. It was a complete mess for others waiting for their order as well. One employee was literally cussing and asking for a straight edge razor. Good job.
Looks new, food was twrrible cornbeef and pastrami horribly fatty, they need 2 train countermen. Staff was good. Matzo ball soup very bland, total waste of $$, I use to own a deli, they are not using good meats, was grose. Average person doesnt know a good deli even if it hit them in face.
Love the food at TooJay's Deli but the prices are way too high - a turkey dinner is almost $20.00. Won't go back again!
I had such a fantastic lunch. My server Jojo was very pleasant and made sure it was a fantastic experience. TooJay's is now become my favorite stop for lunch. Food is always fresh in the sandwiches are huge. I highly recommend stopping in and if she's available ask for Jojo. She will make sure that you're so well taken care of with a smile. I had ask to talk to the manager Danielle just to let her know what fabulous time I had. To my surprise she showed up at my table almost immediately even though they were doing a large lunch Danielle the manager is the driving force that keeps everybody moving. This is fantastic teamwork
I hope you keep up the good work as I'm going to return often.
This used to be my favorite Deli, but it has just gone so far downhill. It makes me very sad.
Lately toojays always disappoints. I called in an order for corned beef and cabbage.
When I arrived it was not ready, I don’t even think it was started. The cabbage was pathetic
It was the leaves you throw away all whit and soggy. The amount of corned beef
Was minuscule and not well cooked. Toojays is a ghost of what it was in the past.
Very disappointing.
My mom has been telling me to try this place and I'm so glad I did. The food was tasty and our server Heather did an amazing job. It really makes a difference when you know someone cares about their job and the service they're providing. She took great care of us and was very attentive, we will definitely be coming back.
Visited today to have a coffee and pastry. Waited about 10 minutes at table and decided to order at counted. Was asked if we wanted to dine in or take out and we said we were dining in but only wanted pastry. We were told that we had to have a server wait on us. So we sat down and waited more. Finally someone came over. We told her what we were going to order and she said she would be right back. Again, we waited. She finally came back and told us to order at counter because she was busy waiting on customers. I guess that we are not concidered good enough customers so we started to leave butI wanted to let the woman who said a server had to wait on us that said server refused to help us out. She just rolled her eyes. No further help.
Thank you for making us feel very unwelcome.
I had a wonderful lunch today and Heather was our delightful server. We will definitely come back again.
Coming to the original toojays over 30 years the new restaurant just doesn't compare. The feeling I'd not the home type feeling. The bathroom set up I'd horrible and the seating. The restaurant design is just complicated and feels disconnected. The service is good the servers are about the best thing going. Not to many original ppl there but they do their best. Coming to the island all my life to now find myself going to the outlets for a better feel of toojays is becoming the norm. Hopefully they continue good service to Trump the actual restaurant
I hate to give bad reviews and rarely do, but.today's lunch experience at the Palm Beach Too Jay's warranted one. From the tepid temp of the chicken noodle soup (despite claim to be as hot as lava) to a very disappointing meatloaf (initially returned covered in gravy which I had requested to hold) that was inferior to what I could get from a frozen dinner box. I guess the manager was not concerned enough to speak with me. The waitress did give us credit for drinks but still it was over $40 for a meal that would have tasted better from a Publix freezer. And Palm Beach, really?
Got a trio. Brisket was exceptionally fatty and the chopped liver was rancid. Told the server about the liver and to tell the kitchen to taste and hopefully discard. She never said anything nor did she offer a substitute.
Been a customer there for decades but this was tha last time.
We waited too long, & had to go get one of the 2 waitresses working to take our order. Once she knew we were here, her service was the only good part of our dining experience. The waitresses were talking about the hostess seating people in the wrong place. The sorriest beer selection I've seen in a long time. I had water. Some menu items were not available because the staff didn't prepare it the night before and/or didn't show up for work. My food was overcooked, but at least half of it was cold! I'm guessing the problem starts with managment, but it doesn't matter. I will not darken Too Jay's doorstep again.
Unfortunately I was brought here as a guest. I would have never chosen to come here nor will I be returning.
I ordered a sandwich with cheese, artichokes, arugula, and some jam. As a vegan, I asked them to remove the cheese. So what I got was 2 pieces of bread, jam, about 4 pieces (pieces not handfuls) of baby arugula, and 3 tiny artichoke hearts. There wasn't even enough artichoke to cover the sandwich. Given that I wasn't getting the cheese, I would have expected them to load up the sandwich with more artichokes and arugula. But no. And of course, they charged the same amount for the sandwich as if I'd received all the ingredients.
On top of that the service was terrible especially given that the restaurant only had about 4 tables that were active.
Never again.
After a delicious breakfast this morning, we ordered 1/2 pound of tongue, chicken noodle soup (didn't want matzoh balls), bread, Russian dressing and mustard.
I called the store to report on my experience and was put on hold for over 8 minutes. I had to redial to get someone to assist me.
First, the soup had the matzoh balls, which we didn't order, the tongue @ $31.98/lb was awful smelling, so we didn't dare eat it. There was no mustard or Russian dressing in the bag, and I was charged $1.85 for two slices of bread. Plus I was prompted to place a tip on my charge card.
I have been eating at many Toojays stores over the past 20 years and had several problems with the food not being fresh. This visit topped them all. I spent $40.42. What the hell has happened to your company?
