Server was fantastic in the beginning then after dropping the food did not return. Yes he was busy and understaffed. But he said I'll check back and get you a different lunch if you don't like this.
So every time I have gone to TooJays for years I have always ordered the shmrip salad pita. Which no longer is on the menu.
The shrimp used to be large and in a sour cream sauce that was fantastic. Now it's ground up to little pieces just like the chicken and egg salad and very disappointing. Since he didn't check back I watched my friend eat her lunch. We could not get his attention and had to ask the manager for our check. My friend loved her fried chicken over salad. Sometimes you just order the wrong thing. Will I go back. Absolutely

Took my mother here for dinner, and she said that everything tasted just like her grandmother's cooking. The latkes were crispy and delicious. Matzo ball soup was the best I ever had! Portions were plentiful and prices were reasonable for what you got. Our server was patient and attentive. We were too full to sample the desserts, but we will plan better next time. We will definitely be going back, this is my new favorite restaurant!

The service can really ruin a nice meal. They do have some excellent servers and some not very good servers. The food is generally consistent and very tasty.

Surprisingly sophisticated & upscale decor. The tastes was beyond superb. That sentiment was shared by the 12 individuals in my party.

Bring back old mac n cheese New Mac n Cheese= bad really bad. Mac n cheese was only reason for going as it was my favorite delicacy it has now been ruined by the new recipe. Please bring back old mac

Ordered food online from Too Jays website - easy to navigate the online menu. I placed a pick up order on Sept 28th at approx 4: 45 PM - this was the eve of hurricane IAN. When I arrived at 5: 10 for pick up the doors were locked but lights on. As I looked into the restaurant thru the glass a young man appeared from behind the deli counter with my order. He came to the door and handed it to me with a smile and said be safe. He advised me that due to the storm they were closing a 5: 00 PM that evening. I thanked him for waiting and told him to have safe evening. The roasted turkey sandwiches were excellent along with the sides.

Dropped in around 2PM (well after the lunch rush) on Friday 9/23/22 to grab carryout lunch to take back to the home office to enjoy and finish out a very long work week. Totay UNDERWHELMED by the woman who took our order (either she hates her job or her life.not an ounce of friendliness in her) and only slightly satisfied with our Reuben sandwich and Ceasar Chicken Wrap.both were slightly dry (how does that happen?) and there was no extra side of thousand island/Russian dressing PER MY REQUEST.

Really disappointed from a TooJays! I've enjoyed their food and excellent service for years as a dining in, takeout AND catering customer. First time visiting this store.

There's 2 things that I love about Toojay's:
The pastrami burger and the pastrami burger!
If you haven't try yet, please go and give it a chance
Oh! Btw, chocolate layer cake is really good too

Ordered a Pastrami on Rye to bring home to my wife. Simple order right? Nope, waited close to 15-20 minutes. Not that big of an issue but still long enough.
My wife but into it and asked, "Is this corned beef? " When the Pastrami tastes like corned beef it's a problem. It was fatty, no fork in the take out for the Cole slaw.
What has happened to the quality?

We ate dinner there last night. The food and service was good as usual. But the cashier Gissell had us laughing all the way out the door. What a kind and funny kid. Too Jay's is lucky to have her.

The egg was darn near raw as can get. Got food poisoning. This was a photo i took a day later, because i was just that lucky i did not throw out my overly undercooked meal, because ubereats asked me just so you know, the restaurant told me that if it was delivery that i need to talk to them and before that i was not even going to get the full refund, just a refund for my undercooked egg item. I was so frustrated that wow i got a full refund. I was hoping for a voucher or something other than a tedious lawsuit. What an awful experience.

Friday AM breakfast. Quiet, not busy. The table service was excellent. The coffee, bagel and home fries were good. My custom omelette, ordered with peppers, onions and mushrooms, was poorly executed. Overdone, peppers and onions were hard and not fully cooked. The onions were on the side instead of inside the omelette.

I ordered a wrap with small fries which was extra $3.99 and got a pathetic amount of fries. They seem to be skimming more oj portions. Toojays used to be better quality and portions its gone downhill and charge more.

No bagels in the case or on a menu board. Me: Do you have bagels? " Her "Yes, every kind! " Me" Ok, I'll have onion" Her, "sorry we don't have onion" Me, "OK I'll have garlic" Her, "we don't have garlic, how about plain? " After playing guess the bagel, the bagel was just meh.but they do have Dr. Brown's, so there is that!

Excellent service by "Britt"! Very fresh Ceasar salad, and some scrumptious latkes! Got a free ruggelah for my birthday! Thank you Toojays!

Chopped liver sammies are always delicious here. Very few folks eating, but service was good even with reduced staffing. We still are not eating out that much, so it was a pleasant evening. Half of one sandwich -they were huge - went home for lunch the next day!

This place is going downhill fast! I gave them another chance but they are consistently bad. The nova was sliced inconsistently as if they were serving me lox ends and not slices of nova. The tomato on the nova plate was rotten, the carrot on the egg salad plate was old and dried. And the dessert, which chased me away last time, was just as bad. At first, I just thought that someone didn't cut the carrot cake properly and that I got half a slice when I paid for a whole slice. But when I told them about it, and ordered the carrot cake again, they gave me the same half a slice. I don't think I will give them another chance.
