Topwater Kayak Outpost, St. Petersburg FL

Very awesome folks and top notch service! We really enjoyed kayaking and seeing manatees, a dolphin and all kinds of waterfowl and fish. Definitely recommend spending a few hours on the water exploring the beautiful nature that surrounds you here!

Very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. They know tides and expected weather conditions. Laid back vibe. Reasonable rates. Trail is clearly marked with maps available. Boats clean and in good condition. Takes about 1.5 hours to leisurely complete trail. We saw manatees, dolphins, rays and many bird/fish species. We paid around $60 (including a well-earned tip) for a tandem kayak and a paddle board. Eric gave a helpful quick SUP lesson to my friend's daughter. Staff eager to help upon return.offered to take group photo. Upon entry to park, turn right at stop sign. One mile down on right. Plenty of free parking. They close earlier than expected- 4pm on weekdays, but that is my only complaint. Highly recommended.

Great experience. Affordable prices and excellent service. We did have manatees scrape under our kayak! Best kayak rental company we have used in Florida.

Erik helped me out when I needed to get a double kayak for me and my girlfriend. It was a super quick, and he had us on the water in five minutes. He was super cool to talk to and even gave us a discount. Highly recommend renting here!

What a brilliant experience! We drove an hour from Clearwater just to use the Kayak Outpost and it was certainly worth it. Flying fish, black crabs (not spiders as the kids initially thought!), birds swooping down to feed on fish and amazingly a Dolphin swam right by us looking for its breakfast!

The service was also brilliant with great advice on where to go during the rental whilst also giving us a few bottles of water as they didn't think we had enough with us).

Take the drive and visit this place. It's worth it.

I’ve lived in the Tampa Bay Area for 8 years now and Topwater Kayak Outpost is my number 1 choice whenever I have friends visit. They have always maintained reasonable prices. They are always very personable and truly care about their customers. I have never had a bad experience with Topwater Kayak Outpost.

Highly recommend this experience, the rentals are affordable and the gentleman who was working on was very friendly. We were followed by a couple manatee and caught a peek at a dolphin surfacing.

Opened late due to an employee having to fill in, but they were very friendly and the prices were very reasonable for such a long rental.

Fun couple hours of kayaking. If you're lucky, you will get to see manatees, sea otters, and occasional dolphins. The guys that run the outpost are nice and work with you.

Manatees grabbing the kayak swimming all around. Mating pairs making a big splash and mamas with calves attached! We saw several dolphin as well in a very short amount of time!

If you are thinking about going just do it you will have an amazing day on the water, this outfit is the absolute best!

Wow the best experience. Reasonable rates, best kayak, equip comfortable back supports, trail nothing short of Paradise. I am amazed how kind and friendly staff was. I am handicap could never done this experience without their overwhelming support. They even made comfy spot for service dog in kayak, never even questioned him being there.in this post COVID era where the norm is to be treated rudely at best this truly was heart warming adventure.great big thanks, well done Topwater. I will be recommending you from hilltops!

Eric and Aaron were super relaxed. We were there with our kids in the morning and spent 2 hours in the bay with two SUPs and a kayak. Even saw some manatees, were accompanied by birds and really had a great time. I can really only totally recommend
