Towne Parc Apartments, Gainesville FL

Out of all the apartments and dorms that I lived in for my nearly 6 years in Gainesville, Towne Parc was by far the best - no competition. It was the first off-campus apartment where I felt truly safe. Not only do they do background checks on all the renters, but the community is an eclectic mix of young professionals, college students, and families with children. Even at night, neighbors would walk their dogs or bike around the neighborhood, and I could always see other students or families taking advantage of the amenities: a pool, printing station, car wash area, dog park and dog wash station, picnic area, gym, etc.

It's located in a great area on two bus routes, which was ideal for a student like me, and it was only a quick hop from UF by car as well. It's on a very scenic road next to the UF Beef Unit, so when I went jogging, I often stopped to watch the cows graze.

Lastly, the office staff were always kind and helpful, as were the maintenance staff. Also, the pricing made the community more than affordable. It may not be perfect, but it came pretty close: we did have some minor issues with our A/C, and the printers at the printing station occasionally glitched, but they were all fixed promptly, either the same or next day, which my roommates and I were happy about.

I'm so glad that I found this apartment for my last two years at UF!

My little sister currently lives here and i absolutely fell inlove with the apartment from the spacious parking lot, the nice neighbors and the etc.the part that got me sold was the lake with the fountain and the swinging benches, i cannot tell you how many times i almost fell asleep just swinging peacefully as i was feeding the duckies. I'm from fort lauderdale but expect me to move up here soon so please hold a place for me until i get there!)

I love it here! The area is so quiet and respectful. Maintenance is very responsive and is greatly appreciated. Would absolutely recommend.

CONS:

Maintenance keeps fixing the A/C but it keeps breaking. They are fast to respond, though.

Prices have greatly increased, and trash removal that was promised is not included.

I love the wood flooring and the sizes of the rooms. I recommend the updated apartments with built in washer and dryer. The kitchen and patio are OK. The bathrooms are nice. Love the rooms! Also, you cannot hear your neighbors through the walls! This is a huge plus.

This complex is family and pet friendly.

The clubhouse is good, includes a pool table, and a pool to swim in. You can rent it for $50 and get it back if you clean up after yourself; great for if you want to host a party but not have the mess be in your home.

They also have decent gym equipment. I just wish they had a hot tub/jacuzzi, and it would be perfect!
