TownePlace Suites by Marriott Miami Kendall West reviews
18Good location, lots of restaurants close by but the room was dirty and the free breakfast was horrible.
Good experience with the hotel, its location is a little removed from the tourist places of Miami, however it is in a very good area. With a rented car it is excellent, the rooms are comfortable and very well equipped. Cleaning is every other day, and the service is super friendly and attentive. The only thing to highlight is that the breakfasts were very repetitive, but everything else was fine!
This place literally charged me for my booking and canceled my reservation without notifying me nor issuing a refund.
We stayed at TownePlace Suites in Kendall for 14 nights. We were kindly greated by the front staff. The room was nice and it included a good size kitchen. We were on the first floor which was very convenient when traveling with a pet. There is plenty of grass outside for dogs as well. It had a great breakfast spread.
Pros:
-Close to many great restaurants
-Comfortable bed
-Plenty of storage
-Traffic wasn't bad in that area
-Clean and New
Cons:
-The shower has a very odd design. When you shower water gets EVERYWHERE.
-When I reserved the room I was told I would get housekeeping every other day. However, we were there 14 days, and only had housekeeping four times. They will send towels and anything else you need to the room no problem.
-The laundry room is small and the washers were a little dirty.
-The breakfast area gets pretty crowded, but we ate in our room so that wasn't a huge issue for us.
Overall, I recommend this hotel. Next time we are in Miami visiting family, we will definitely here.
The staff were really friendly especially at the front desk and this nice abuela that helped with breakfast. The king size bed room we were in was such a nice room, my wife and I loved it. The bed and blankets were perfectly soft, the shower could fit 4 people and they had a Pack and Play for our baby. The pool is a good size. Plenty of parking. It was the best hotel we've stayed in. Thank you.
I stayed at this hotel due to a situation that happened at my house back in June and we stayed from June to September or October. Service was pretty good. Breakfast was decent most of the time and I wasn't surprised by it. Bright side is that they allow pets to stay in the hotel. Overall, even though I stayed at this hotel for a few months and had to call it my "Temporary Habitat, " I recommend staying here if you're visiting Miami since there's also a few restaurants in the plaza and they're all good places to eat at.
It is a little far from everything, at least an hour drive to any beaches but other than that it is an amazing hotel! Beautiful rooms that all have fully equipped kitchens including a large fridge, single burner stove, convection microwave/oven combo, dinner plates, bowls, utensils and a bottle opener. An amazing closet for all storage needs and a beautiful outdoor pool. The staff are all amazing, most speak mostly Spanish but are all obviously happy to be there. There is a breakfast that is delicious and the kitchen staff are so sweet. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend anyone coming to miami and area to look into this place, but be ready to drive!
Andreas Preito (I hope I have his last name right) in the reservations department was so helpful. Traveling with two small children, he really made my family’s stay easier and better. Amazing service.
We only stayed one night before flying home. It's a nice modern hotel with several restaurants around it in walking distance. Our studio suite was well equipped with a full kitchen with crockery and cutlery, safe, large TV, walk-in shower and good WiFi. Breakfast options were the usual fare incl hot oatmeal. Staff were friendly. View from our window was a waste container. We would stay again if in the area.
Hotel was clean & in a great location near restaurants. Daniella at the front desk was so happy and accommodating. Made our late night travels well worth it.
Clean, Modern, Friendly Hotel. Happy to stay here with our dog for 2 days while in the Everglades, it was very clean and up-to-date. Nice staff, not to crowded and conveniently located next to lots of stores/food. Would stay again if I was in town and in need of a hotel.
Very good experience
The girl who paid attention to me
Excellent atention
Excellent service
The location was perfect for a one night stay after flying into Miami and visiting the Everglades the next morning. The room and service was as expected.
Nice hotel, convenient restaurants within walking distance from the hotel, friendly staff, our room was clean, free wifi worked great, but our only complaint was the shower in the bathroom. The floor can be very slippery, which unfortunately caused my daughter to have a nasty fall hurting her hip, elbow, and palm of her hand. Thankfully she wasn’t seriously injured, but had that happened to an elderly or disabled person, it could have been way worse. The shower itself is also poorly designed, there is a single pane of glass that only covers about half of the shower leaving the other half open and you can’t help but get the bathroom floor all wet which is already showing signs of water damage. We spoke to Michael, the manager on duty, and he was very apologetic, concerned and empathetic to our situation, and assured us that he would relay the message to his general manager. Hopefully this is addressed in a timely fashion so no one else gets hurt. Aside from that, we would definitely consider returning to this hotel.
Very nice rooms. Sleek modern design. Clean and spacious. No complaints and we were satisfied.
Everyone was great at this hotel! Jimmy was extremely helpful and I enjoyed top notch hospitality.
Great choice for our overnight at Tamiami Airport. Lots of great restaurants w/ in walking. Great staff.
I came to Miami for a funeral last weekend. I chose this hotel because of the reviews and the location. I really liked this hotel. The staff was friendly and the hotel was clean. Breakfast was pretty good as well. My only complaint was that I requested not to be near dogs because I am allergic to certain dogs. Although I did not have an allergic reaction, I was still placed next door to a dog. The selfish owners of the dog left the dog alone in the room for the better part of Friday and Saturday. The dog seemed to bark for hours at a time (from the time I left in the morning, and it would still be barking 6-8 hours upon my return). It barked until around midnight on Friday. How selfish. I was offered a different room by the front desk, but after unloading my bags, hanging clothes up, and being tired from being out all the day, I just turned my TV up and/or put in earbuds. I felt like moving at that point was an inconvenience to me. Other than that, it was a really good hotel, and I would recommend the hotel.
