Travelers Campground reviews
15This is a surprising place! We just spent the night but will come back. There is a big parking space for travelers with no reservations and they will accommodate you in the morning, they have plenty of animals to see and interact, and a really cool pool. The place is gorgeous! Bathrooms/showers are clean.
By FAR the best RV campground I have ever experienced! I was traveling through from Denver to South FL and stopped here for the night.they had a pristine campground with working power, the cleanest bathrooms and showers I have ever used in a campground, and anti bug devices throughout the camp. I would recommend this to anyone in driving through or staying for the night. An absolute pleasure, and you get what you pay for here.worth every penny imo.
Stopped overnight on our way home. Beautiful stop will definitely stay again. People have complained about the parking lot type spaces for overnights or shorter stay but we found them wonderful.
Spacious with full hook ups and cable. Quiet - we slept with windows open. Visit the animals!
We have been regulars of this place any time we pass through since we stumbled across it a few years ago. The amenities are great, the campground is absolutely beautiful, the service is wonderful…. And the added perk of getting to feed all the amazing farm animals after traveling a long day in the RV is so great! We highly recommend Travelers Campground!
Came to stay with my mom for 2 weeks she's been staying there for a while it was absolutely beautiful the staff was amazing they were really nice every time we seen them we got to feed the animals swim in the pool and play Bingo which was really awesome, was such a hit
It's our overnight stop when traveling to central/south Florida. Really nothing to do but convenient one night layover.
Great idea for overnight travel. However, the site was too small for our 5th wheel and truck to remain together overnight. Had our chocks stolen from the bed of our truck. Check-in charged us for the energy drink that the guy showing us to rv site drank and waters that she said we're complementary? Had to wait for the guy to leave in front of us as we could not get around.
Easy on and off for RVs. They have a system for strictly overnight parking that had you stacked in like cord wood but it works. They escort you to your little stall of a site at least. Lots of animals to pet and feed and a couple of nice dog parks too. Safe and friendly.
Great Campground but Horrible WiFi, internet and Cellular
Nice grounds with animal (goats, parrots, etc) that are fun to check out. Laundry was really great. Showers are fine, a bit dated but clean. Spent a few days and will keep it on the list to come back if passing through. Outdoor pool.
Each site has cable hook with typical variety of stations (about two dozen) plus sewage at both ends of the spots.
Ever spot is drive through, and they will take you directly to your spot on arrival. Enough trees for shade and they provided picnic bench at the sites but due to the sloping grass it can be a bit wobbly. Close to a busy highway so you will hear the occasional loud vehicle but the park itself is quiet.
INTERNET is ok for basic emails but load speed of web sites was slow and unusable for zoom/facetime. The problem is that cellular was also 2 bars or less (had to drive up to Burger King to get good wifi). I did switch to T-mobile manually for roaming to get better connection and put the phone on top of the RV in hotspot mode - kind of worked. May have been just as much volume of people in the park but don't count on doing much zooming.
We had a wonderful weekend at Travelers Campground! It was the perfect location, just off the interstate and very close to all the Springs & State Parks! Very kid & dog friendly! Our daughter loved the animals, especially the goats! She gave them snacks multiple times a day! It was a peaceful campground. The pool and facilities were clean and welcoming. We will definitely use this campground again!
My wife are staying at Travelers Campground for the next two months. The staff are friendly and welcoming as well as helpful. Check in was a breeze and we were escorted to our campsite. Eric the maintenance man filled our propane and then replaced the 30 Amp breaker at our site, all within 30 minutes of arrival. If you like animals they have emus, donkeys, goats and macaws. The bathrooms are clean, laundry is modern and a nice swimming pool. Overall a great place to stay.
This camp ground wouldn't allow me to book for April 1 thru September 1 2023. They said "my dynamics" whatever that means! L. I was direct & honest with them that I have 3 children the children grandma, and 5 dogs. 3 dogs are for special needs. My camper is a 40 foot 2021 class A. I drove around and there are class a, as well as big trailers. Some of the sites have a lot of junk from full timers. This campground is not an adult only and it's pet friendly. I asked to speak to the owner, which was who disapproved it. I was willing to pay additional security as I not cocerned. No response yet. Hopefully he is an hands on owner & will call me after my post. I picked this campground because it very close to my business. I am a weekend glamper. I just need this long period because I sold my home & need a place while the new house is done.
Great place to stay! The kids loved the pool and animals!
The park is relatively well maintained, a branch (that should have been trimmed back) did fall during a storm and put a hole in our roof.
Staying for the next 4 months, so far everything has gone smoothly and staff as well as neighbors have all been friendly. Will update review later. Close to a lot of outdoor activities near by!
UPDATE: Liked it so much we've been here over a year. Even with new owners, much of the original groundskeepers remains and my original review still holds true.
Nice place to stop for the night. Reasonably easy to get to from the freeway. I didn't use the facilities so I can't speak to them. The sites are level and paved and have plenty of room between sites. I would recommend.
