Tribeca Restaurant And Lounge, Miramar FL

Hubby and I had been wanting to try this restaurant for a while. I can truly say that I will never go back. First, the service was horrible. The hostess sat us down and the waitress didn't come to check on us until 20 minutes later. We ordered a bucket of beer, a chicharron appetizer, and a glass of water with lemon. We got the beer and placed our dinner order. Hubby got the Mar y Tierra for $35, mom got the pargo a la criolla for $25, and I got the chimi sliders for $16.
The chicharron appetizer came out and was placed on our table. We had NO silverware and no plates. Meanwhile the waitress was MIA. I had to get up from my table to go look for her to ask for silverware and napkins. After a while we got our food order. I had to ask for the water again since she had forgotten about it.
The Mar y Tierra was very good. It was the best meal of the night. My mom's fish was a joke. She didn't even get a whole fillet. It was broken into pieces. The flavor was also very fishy. I wanted to send it back but she refused as she was afraid of retaliation from the kitchen. The mofongo was also very dry and was not served with a broth to dip it into. Ughhh
After almost 20 minutes my sliders finally came out (just as I was about to cancel them). The sliders were horrible. The meat was overcooked and did not taste good. The toston portion was drenched in oil, as is the oil they were cooked in was not hot enough.
Overall this restaurant experience was negative for me, aside from the Mar & Tierra, which I say again was very good.
The service was slow and inattentive. Plus, the restaurant itself was so noisy. I do not recommend this restaurant at all.

Very bad ambience for what is advertised as a restaurant, it’s more like a club. Staff and other customers have no respect. When we walked in and heard the loud music, we were about to leave but the hostess then offered to seat us outside where we found it quite pleasant. Within 10 minutes new customers showed up outside with board games and brought their own portable music. I overheard the waitress tell two arriving customers to wait just a bit that we (she even pointed in our direction) would be leaving soon, and we had just received our food only a minute earlier! While we tried to enjoy the food at least (have to say that the food itself was not bad) the other customers were blowing cigar smoke and one even threw a lit cigarette in our direction. Impossible to eat, we asked for to-go boxes to finish the meal at home. There was no effort to apologize whatsoever. Check and tip would’ve been much higher had we been allowed to enjoy our dinner. We will not return and will recommend strongly against the place to anyone who may ask about it.

I visited on a week day for an industry event and the place got packed as the night went on. They staff seemed overwhelmed, but were managing quite well under the circumstances. I ordered shrimp pasta and it was tasty. My blueberry lemon drop was delicious. Nice atmosphere with a comfy outdoor area. Will return.

The food was good, the service was ok. Beware of the automatic 20% gratuity fee they charge. It was explained to us that it’s more of a service fee shared amongst all staff, only after the 20% cash tip was already given to our waitress. So we essentially tipped 20% twice. Probably will steer clear from that place for that deceptive practice.

The food was good and prices are not bad, but the service was horrible. Our server never came up to us to ask how we were doing or if we needed anything. Definitely not a place that I would like to go back.

Food is good the live music is great service can be better but overall is a nice place to eat and dance

First off the drinks are way too expensive! $12 for a rum and coke give me a break! Pork chunks were fried so hard you couldn't chew them. The Spanish music was so loud we had to holler at each other across the table! The waitress we had did not speak English! This is America and everybody should be speaking American English! She had to get another waitress to interpret what we wanted. Will not go back to this place, too expensive for two people!

This was our first time trying this place
We visited due to the reviews. We went on Sunday afternoon to try it out. First the positive the young ladies were polite however I found lacking in service. We ordered an appetizer the mofongo del Valle I think that is what it was which was covered in alfredo sauce not freshly made but seemed from a jar. Had to ask for the appetizer plate. I asked for a beer which was only available in a bottle that was brought to the table without a glass, so I had to ask for the glass. Having hospitality back ground I can see that they are lacking in the service knowledge to service the customer at no fault of their own. Out of courtesy gave it the 2 stars rating.

Unfortunately the service was very bad…to the point where we were sat and they took our order and 8 mins later they welcomed us again and took our order…. What kind of organization is this?
I know the food is good…the service has gone down a lot!

Worth the trip. Food was Excellent and the happy hour cocktails did not disappoint! Found a new spot!

First time visiting this place and the truth is my experience was not good, the bad service from the waitress we had, there is the image of the food that was on the table the whole time and they never picked up the food until we paid and we had to order to another person because she was never in their area, they should hire people who do have the desire to work, not to dance with people, she was dancing instead of serving her clients, however the food was very good!

The chef of that place is absolutely excellent. The seasoning…ahhh…. One of a kind place. Prices are affordable. Shows are loud, but fun (wear ear plugs). Highly recommended.

5 stars is a disservice. This is the BEST spanish food spot that highlights the Caribbean. I had literally the best octopus ive ever had! Ive been to plenty of 5 star restaurants and they cant compare w this! The best monfongo the best everything. Most importantly the beautiful staff there that makes you want to keep coming back! I highly recommend!

This happened during Ruby Perez's concert on February 14: When we bought the tickets online we didn't know that we had to call to reserve a table (it didn't say it when we paid for the tickets) they got us a table almost begging them, then boom big surprise there was to consume $250 per table which we didn't know either, I don't mind paying that if at least they tell me before when purchasing the tickets, well but that's not all, since we arrived at 9: 30 half an hour before the show Ruby with a mother's hunger another surprise, the kitchen is closed sir we only have apetaizer seriously with this bionic hunger that's right we had to stuff ourselves with fried foods (which was the only thing there was) and then Jondiarle alcohol (so that we can mate) but as if all that was a horse's feather Ruby arrived on stage at 12: 52 that's right, almost 3 hours waiting for our Ruby who did a very good show, although it sounds bad (Tribeca, be careful, those sound monitors are not for orchestras are for DJs) Ruby sounded VERY BAD
Well, you know, I won't return to this place even if the owner invites me!
