Tropical Palms RV Resort, Kissimmee FL

I am not a negative person and not one to start drama because I hate confrontation. So I’m not writing this for that, only to warn people what to expect. However, I am super disappointed with the whole thousand trails/encore company. Our truck broke down on the way to Florida and we had to be in the area for my husbands job. We had tried to get an RV site but there was nothing so we booked a cabin here (2 hrs away from his job). We shortened our stay from 3 months to 2, paid an insane amount of money and all was good. We have been here a month already and the office called and said they did an “audit” on our account and we now owe them almost $1000 because they “accidentally” gave us the wrong rate. They were “sorry for the inconvenience. ” So now we’re out 6K total to stay in a cabin that is sub par at best. We have tried multiple times to speak to a manager but they are always conveniently never around. Or they hang up on you.

This park is conveniently located to Disney things but spend your money elsewhere. I am sorry to even say anything and it is not like me but the customer service and the runaround we’ve been given is not okay. It’s just not right. This is not the first time this has happened. Every time is a headache.

Thousand trails is such an amazing tool for families on the road but needs a major overhaul in how it is ran. If you’re looking for great customer service, quality camping, or a good experience, this is not the place.

My father was paying for two reservations, but some staff came while I was staying with my uncle telling us they would tow us if we would not move, with nowhere to stay my father payed extra for this weekend. I am very disappointed with the customer service here. My dad told them to check their emails for his reservations, they made our situation harder, giving us no site to stay on. Especially the fact it was our first day here.

Save your money, get a hotel, find another RV spot!

1.this site is under construction.bulldozers and backhoe running at 7am on Saturday and Sunday.don't expect to sleep in.

2.we stayed in a cabin. Cabin kept losing power.breakers wouldnt trip.the cabin was having issues with the power draw to run a/c and phone chargers.had to turn off breakers in the middle of night to prevent fire.slept with no power both nights.they refused to move us.

3.have tried to get a call back from management for the past 2 weeks since December 4.can not get anyone to call us back.they took my money and didn't care about the bad accomodations they provided.

Great place but the dog park was moved to an area that flood when it rains. Otherwise I love visiting my friends here all the time!

Put me in a no dump site 2 days before arriving. Site is to small and they told me I can't park my truck on the grass. This place needs a longer ruler.

First of all, this is my second time in.and I will return here since location pet friendly.things that I complain are minuscule.please bring a tall kitchen trashcan if you stay longer than a night.your stay comes with one key and this is Inconvenient since is the same key to open the front main-gate and the cottage, take pictures of the room before checking out.just I.case they trying to keep you deposit for made up damage or mistaken errors.the staff is great and professional you can solve most the issues texting the front desk.love that texting system.

We enjoyed our stay. We got lucky and had awesome neighbors. People in the park were very friendly. Big laundry room to get clothes done. Mini golf, playground and pool are well kept. Saw deer, ducks and a snake here. Our site fit our trailer, camper and 2 vechiles.
The bad:
The dock is run down and can not be accessed because of it.

Would have been 5 stars but. Pool heater was broke entire time we were there and we paid handsomely for this site, no discount. Then they jack up their rates on purpose for 1 extra day $150 it's not a hotel it's a campsite.wifi you have to pay extra for! Then they have the nerve to try and charge $25 for a courtesy late check-out and they don't care we are good Sam elite members.greedy, unethical

Unbelievably wonderful place! Lake, dog run, fishing, golf and lots more. Walking distance to Food Truck World/Old Town. Best time ever!

Not made for large campers. We are members and they put us in a value spot with no sewage and weaving between two trees with a 43' trailer. We had to cancel and forfeit one night pay. Campground looks nice but roads are also very narrow

Nice park, well kept. Many rental units and seasonal guests. Very close to Disney World, Universal, SeaWorld and many more attractions. Many good restaurants in area.

Great location, easy in and out access, pull through sites, nice amenities. To bad we were just passing through and only stayed one night.

Beautiful resort, bathrooms clean, pool was awesome, park nice and quiet. We stayed in 42' motorhome plenty of room. Spent all our time at Disney world then came back and soaked in heated pool. Staff friendly, actually checked daily if we had any needs or concerns

So this place used to be a nice place to stay. The pool was always kept nice. Some cottage trailers were private rentals by private owners and I was told they are not allowed to rent privately anymore. You have to rent from the front desk resort only, which isn't fair for the private owners. Some of the older trailers are ran down and not kept up. But they have put in a lot of new cottage trailers. They are very tropical looking and are very modern. Like cute tiny houses basically.
This place is located all the way back behind Old Town. Very congested area, so be ready for crazy drivers and lots of traffic.
I stayed here at Tropical Palms many times, but this would be my last, because I'd rather just stay at a nice resort in the area for a better price, really. Shop around before you pick this place. Not worth it!

This place was amazing. The cottage was perfect for the 4 of us. Friendly staff and located so close to Disney World. I highly recommend Tropical Palms.

My father reserved this pull through full hook up site MONTHS in advanced for Thanksgiving week for us to enjoy the holiday camping with my 2 kids with special needs.they waited until a day before our reservation (when it's too late with the holiday to take our business else where) that they are overbooked and moved us to a bit full hook up site and we would have to pay $25/day for sewage clean out services to come by and they won't come ON Thanksgiving.talking with some neighbors at the sites around us we aren't the only people they did this to.they rope people in and then screw them out of what they need at the last minute knowing they can't take their business elsewhere due to the holidays. VERY shady business! Proceed with caution knowing that even if u have something reserved you may not get it!

Just stayed for a few day. Quiet and very clean. Security is tight. Pool was awesome. Just an all around great place to stay if you have an RV

Great location and amenities! All of the staff are friendly and helpful to work with. I highly recommend this campground!
