Tropico Mofongo, Kissimmee FL

This was our first time at this restaurant, we got there at 1130 on a Saturday morning and it was crowded. The wait was only 10 minutes. If you want take out you just walk in and go to front to place your order, you can see the hot food behind a glass just point to what you want. Every one spoke English so ordering is easy. We sat down to eat I ordered the mofongo which is mashed plantains with pork cracklings in it, I asked for the one that has sweet and green plantains together. My order also came with white rice and beans, plus a cup of chicken broth and roasted pork that was very well seasoned. The portion was huge had to bring some home. My wife had the mofongo with shrimp good size shrimp great flavor. Our server was very friendly she answered all our questions about the menu patently. She brought us sauces the red was very spicy, green not to spicy, the 2 orange are a combination of ketchup and mayonnaise mixed together. We will definitely come back to this location.

This place is absolutely amazing! You know the food is good when you walk in and see locals. The place was full with construction workers on their lunch break. So many great options. Everything looks yummy. We all enjoyed the food. This is one place we will definitely come back to again and again when in Orlando.

Food is amazing! We ordered churrasco with white rice and beans, pernil with mofongo, rice and chicharrón de pollo. And a side of their special garlic sauce. The pernil was so juicy, the beans were soooooo good. Nos encantó todo! Restaurant is clean, service was great also. The special sauce was good, it’s like a garlic butter but milky. We visited twice in one weekend.

Visited Friday 10-19-18. Wow the place in remodeling & still they delivered great PR food. We love this place m. Service was great also. Environment was quiet family oriented. I’m coming back. Gracias great dinner.

The worst experience of my life. I'm going to give it 1 star because there's not a zero star selection but the food was horrible, it was sitting out for a long time and it was dry everything was dry, I should of turned around when I walked in. The food was so nasty my wife got food poisoning of it, had to take her to the hospital, she was throwing up to the point veins almost pop out of her skull and she couldn't bare the pain of using the bathroom anymore. My mother in law also got sick and my 3year old got sick vomiting. The service sucked, waitresses all over the place and the place is getting renovated so there's drywall pieces and debris everywhere, unfinished disgusting floors and behind the counter needed it a good scrubbing. People go there for the quantity of food not for the quality. Never again.

You will never have better food in your life. I can guarantee the Mofongo is hands down the best anywhere!

They are undergoing renovations (expansion), so we just got everything to go. Nevertheless, everything was flavorful and well prepared!

Great place to try new food. They offer a lot of food for such an affordable price First time coming here but I surely recommended.

Speaking of great food at amazing prices! This place may not seem appealing from the outside, but once you see the line of people waiting for a table, you know you’re in for a treat. Whether you get the food from the menu or the buffet, the food is fresh, delicious and will leave you very satisfied. Best mofongo on my list which is why I always get it when I have the chance to go (we live 3 hours away).

Food was amazing! Very reasonably priced. Service was good. Buffet style till 5 I think then it's a normal restaurant setup. Go hungry!

Good Food, But they needs improve the Service. No smiling faces, walking around without say Hi. Ect. Nice food always.
