Staying here in the dead of winter with lows in the 20s and the rooms have no heat. We thought it was only our room. We asked to move and they said all the rooms are without heat.

Are you kidding me Hilton? It gets cold in northern Florida. Way to be cheap and dishonest. I want my money back for freezing all weekend.

Me and my friend came to Fort Walton Beach for New Year Eve. The young lady at the front desk was friendly and inviting when we arrived. However, checking out was a total disaster. When I came down for breakfast I passed an older black gentleman with a bald head who was working the front desk, I wish I knew his name. He was absolutely HORRIBLE. As I passed him I greeted him with a “good morning “ he didn’t respond so I thought maybe he didn’t hear me so I paused and said it again and he gave me a dry response. I thought that was strange but I continued on my way. When it was time for us to checkout, it appeared that he barely wanted to speak to me. He was speaking in a low tone and when I informed him that I couldn’t hear him, nothing changed. I still gave this guy the benefit of the doubt because his behavior was so upsetting and unbelievably rude but I still said goodbye to him and he said absolutely nothing. I’m a social worker and customer service and how you handle people is very important. You never know what people are going through. This guy’s nonchalant dismissive behavior was totally unacceptable, disrespectful and hurtful.

The room was very basic. The lobby was the best part of the hotel. I will not be back!

This was my 3rd visit to this hotel, I think the location is great, the rooms and beds are always clean. It is close to where we are working, so it is always a win win.

I love Tru Hotels. I think they're very efficient. I can check in without seeing anyone, a decent breakfast, and the best coffee

This will probably be overlooked or given a "corporate wordplay response" but the worst service ever. We checked in with Kevin a little after midnight. No personality. No energy. Rude. Not familiar with Hilton Honors at all. As a silver member, he should at least understand complimentary bottled water. He made me look up my number. After telling him my number (even though it was on both bookings,) it was quite difficult just to get a bottled water. Only received 1 bag despite having 2 rooms. The phone in the room doesn't work. I've been having to call the desk from my cell. When they actually answer the phone cuz the call disconnects a lot. If it really disconnects and the agents aren't hanging up. No sense of urgency either. I called 2 times for towels. The experience can be so much better of they had people in positions that really want to be at work and care about response times.

Hotel was nice. The rooms were comfortable enough and had basic hotel amenities: coffee/tea, shampoo/conditioner, body soap, bar hand soap and clean towels. There is a pool that appeared to be cleaned and maintained. In the lobby there is a snack bar and pool table as well as a large television. There is a complimentary hotel breakfast area with bagels, cereal, yogurt and a pancake making machine that sometimes works.

I'm doing 4 stars only because the area the hotel was in was a little sketchy, and there were some things at the hotel that also dropped the star. Don't get me wrong the hotel was very nice, I already knew that the rooms were going to be a little small. The phone in our room didn't work which made it difficult when we had to go to the front desk to ask for extra pillows and blankets (which they didn't have). The vent in the bathroom also didn't work however the room was very clean and the battery in the remote was not operating properly, luckily it held out for the entire stay. The staff was great even though when checking in and I asked for a room for the top floor I only got the 3rd and not the 4th floor which made it difficult when there was a bunch of noise above our heads. The ice buckets were not in the room but next to the ice machine and they were not very clean so we had to improvise with that. The location was convenient since all we had to do was drive less than 30 minutes to Destin and there were a lot of convenient places around the hotel.

Rooms were clean and comfortable, only thing we had to deal with was the people next door arguing from 2: 30am to the time we left that morning at 10: 00am

Booked at this location this past weekend in town for a job and the ac in room didn’t work. The front desk attendant came up and retried to bypass wall thermostat. Ac worked 10 min before switching to heat setting off smoke alarm. I was not accommodated at all during this stay in 100 degree weather on top of having money withdrawn for stay out of two different accounts because the front desk attendant said my payment declined. I still haven’t been compensated as of yet and being given the run around knowing I’m a loyal customer that books with Hilton at least two times a week

The room I received was definitely not worth over $300 with taxes included but given that spouses are sometimes not great planners sometimes you have to chop that up.
The room was a regular sized room. It looked like they renovated a Red Roof Inn (except there were no ants). The bed was comfortable. There was a roof stain from water damage - not a big complaint. The phone didn't work so you have to call the office with your cellphone. The outlet closest to the TV didn't work. The have spokes *see pic* hanging out from the wall to hang your clothes.definitely a design flaw! A person my height which is average in that cramped a space will hit their shoulder EVERY time. The bathroom is well lit but the walls are very thin. I could hear whomever was in the next room VERY clearly including their plans for the weekend.
The hotel staff was very nice hence the reason they got 3 stars instead of 1. It's unfortunate that they were assigned to this hotel. Check in was quick and check out was too.
Location - close to the beaches (about 10 min away).
The breakfast - it was one of the worst breakfasts I have had at a hotel. It's continental (free) but even at free it wasn't worth it. The pancake maker was cool but taste was just ok. There are no fresh made scramble eggs, sausage, or anything like that. It's pick up and go: muffins, hard-boil eggs, and Jimmy Dean prepackaged items. The hard boiled eggs tasted like they were made weeks ago and refrigerated. The Otis Sputnik muffins did not taste like Otis Sputnik (and were slightly stale). They are still serving pandemic style breakfasts (prepackaged).
Sidenote - They do not have a fresh cookie when you check in at this "Hilton".

Beware! My company paid for and reserved my room with the company credit card. When I got there to check in, I was told I had to pay with my own credit card. I had 5 other co-workers that stayed in their own rooms that our company set up the same way my room was set up on the same credit card and they did not have to use their own credit card. It was covered by the company credit card for them. All of their rooms we covered by the company credit card except mine. This was not acceable, but at the time, I was told I had to wait until the next day to talk to the General Manager. When I checked out the next morning, I was told now that the General Manager didn't come in until about 9 am and that I could call back to talk to him. Tried calling several times that day and was told every time that the General Manager was still not in yet. I called for 2 more days trying to get in touch with the General Manager and am being told he is still not in yet. Beware!

Late post here, but could not forget my wonderful experience from this establishment. Stayed here for vacation in late May and loved every minute of it. I was hesitant to give the hotel a try due to some sketchy reviews I have read prior to booking. I'm glad I gave it a try because the sketchy reviews were not a reflection of this hotel. Few staff members I interacted with were very friendly and helpful (Hunter and Kevin). The breakfast was pretty good to me as everything was properly organized. The main lobby was very appealing with some fancy decor and the color schemes was very inviting and made me comfortable hanging out down at the lobby. I would definitely come back to this hotel as it is nearby some good restaurants. The Thai restaurant next door was awesome with very reasonable pricing.

We absolutely loved our stay. The price was high, but as to be expected in this area. The hotel was extremely clean. The housekeeping staff should get a raise. The hotel was updated and had lots of amenities and modern features. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was pretty awesome compared to other hotels we have been to. They have an automatic pancake maker, brand name muffins, brand name croissants, and other delicious breakfast items. We also really liked the filtered water dispenser next to the ice machine. It was nice to stay hydrated while at the beach. There is also a pool table and board games for the family during down time. The pool is quite small though. Our only issue was no high chair for our 1 year old during breakfast. That’s quite an inconvenience considering a hotel of this expense should have high chairs. We look forward to returning in the future.

The room was incredibly clean and felt modern. No gross carpet from the early 2000s but instead nice vinyl planks. They had 24/7 coffee in the lobby and technically had a included breakfast (yogurt, hard boiled eggs, and pancakes)

Parking was available and the location was definitely close to whatever you needed. I would definitely stay here again.

During our stay the bathroom in the lobby had a leak.the stench was horrendous. Kevin, the manager said he would refund a portion of my points.never happened.and he doesn't return calls. Things will happen but how you choose to handle them determines everything. He is a bad reflection of the Hilton name.he makes me second guess my Diamond loyalty.

Stolen my tools shoes and a small amount of clothing some cash and a few petty things like chargers whe owner was confronted he said nothing was in there so this went o. For a few minutes he end up having mm tools in back and claim to have thrown my stuff away which I checked dumpster was not in there either o years as far as safety goes my room was already rented out and never deactivated. My card so I was able to still get in to room I'd say never again tru

The room are expensive but really small. Room service doesn't pay attention to details of me checking out a day early
