Truist, Port Charlotte FL

This bank is horrible I closed my account because it charged me a fee because I didn’t use it for one month. This is how petty this bank is they charged me 50 cents to close my account another fee that they imposed on me for closing my account. Now I can see why they have a (2.5 rating I am so glad that I close my account because who knows how many other fees they would have charged me to keep it open. Good luck to anyone using truest for any of their banking needs definitely won’t see me there.

Nobody answers the phone, the service is subpar at best. I have used this bank location for over 15 years and it has switched at least 3 or 4 times to buyouts. I am soon to be done with this bank as soon as I get the chance to find another that meets at least an above average standard.

Worst banking location ever. Staff calls me at 8am to ask how I’m getting this money. Bank overdrafts my bank account without me signing the form so that I can continue going back and forth with them. So upsetting and I want justice by them getting fired.

This bank is super under staff. Do not waste your time calling to schedule any appointments because they do not follow through. I called a week in advance to schedule an appointment as needed to cash a large check. I show up and the bank teller was unaware and said no one told her. When I asked for a manager, she said there was no manager. This bank deserves 0 stars.

Update. The last year they really went downhill. However the staff is very polite. BBT or now Truist is a pain to deal with as a company.
Always greeted with a warm welcome and super fast service. They go above and beyond for customers. I’m definitely happy with them. I’ve been banking here for almost 4 years.

By far the worst customer service I have ever experienced. If I could pull my loan from there right this minute I would. They do not deserve my business. Yesterday morning I called, they answered but then told me it was too early to help me, they weren’t open yet. Today, the woman was very disrespectful, asked me if I could comprehend what she was saying and then proceeded to tell me she had an appointment in 1 minute as I’m trying to speak to her and ask questions.

Since the new merger has been really hard getting hold of customer service for this company. It took a month but my issue was finally resolved so I'm happy now I had to call eight different times and spent about four hours on the phone trying to figure out an issue and never got a resolution.

Beware when banking with BB&T! I have used many banks for a variety of reasons as a business owner and I can say by far the worst experience I ever had was with BB&T. This company does not care about small businesses or anyone for that matter and will nickel and dime every last drop of profit for their bank out of you that they can. Please be careful banking with BB&T as there are many other options that are far superior out there.

Before they were able to help me with my online app over the phone now they tell me they cannot and Id need to come in. Beats the purpose of the call, I'm busy.

Very nice employees, really good customer service, never crowded. Love the mobile banking and online banking too.

Awesome Bank, good customer service. Overdraft fees are not ridiculous like other local banks around the corner in Charlotte County. I'm happy I made a switch to BB&T. Been with this bank for about a year and it feels good. Mobile app is a breeze and works beautifully, and I bank safely and securely here. Won't be leaving anytime soon.
