I recently transitioned from a sailboat to a larger motor yacht. I selected Captain Dave Subers to deliver the yacht to its new home, a trip of approximately 1,200 miles. I accompanied him for much of this trip to gain experience with my new boat.
I could not be happier with the outcome. If you want a delivery crew that cares as much for your boat as you do, Captain Dave is your man.
Because he has experience with many types of vessels, he is an exceptional source of useful information. His training technique not only imparted important knowledge, it increased my confidence and competence.

I've heard about Captains who bring boats up or down the coast but never hired one before. I found Captain Dave's website in my search and dug a little to read all the reviews and actually tried to search for some bad one's since those don't usually end up on the first pages of the web. After not finding any, I called the Coast Guard to confirm his license was in good standing which it was indeed. After feeling I did my diligence, I connected with Captain Dave who was a pleasure to work with to coordinate my somewhat complicated delivery from Sarasota Florida to Myrtle Beach after some engine repairs were completed for the journey. Dave and his mate did a wonderful job delivering our Grand Banks over the next 6 or so days through the lake and up the coast. He gave us his GPS tracker so we could have fun watching the boat along the journey. Dave communicated well throughout the day on how the systems on the boat were working and his plans for the next day or two. To say the whole experience with Dave was seamless, comforting and professional would be an understatement. I can't say enough about how much confidence I have in Captain Dave for any future delivery needs. We just completed a 7 day trip from Riverside, CT to Jacksonville, Florida on our 47’ Sabre aft cabin MY with Dave Subers. My Wife Amy and I both feel that we were lucky to have Dave aboard! Dave was asked to teach a woman new to boating how to navigate a 60’ yacht; no small task! 3 days bringing her around from the Atlantic to the Gulf going thru locks, bridges and then 3 additional days of instruction on backing into a somewhat challenging slip at a Marina. Dave is a super nice gentleman, patient and very knowledgeable. His fees are very reasonable as well. Please consider Dave for all your boating requests.

I just completed a delivery with Capt Dave Subers from Stamford, CT to Jax, FL in my 55" Hatteras. The experience was excellent! Dave conveyed great communication, planning and decision making skills. The trip involved working around a storm in the mid Atlantic that resulted in rerouting to the inside to avoid the undesireable conditions. Dave is very resourceful finding fuel and marinas in a very congested waterway due to the storm. Not only finding these places but also sourcing discounts along the way with his experience, contacts, etc. I found Dave to be extremely professional and treated my boat like it was his own. He is familiar and confident with all the systems in the boat As an owner, this means a lot.
Lastly, Dave is extremely easy to get along with and great company. I highly recommend Capt Dave Subers.

Captain Dave is the best! He is so kind, helpful and professional. My husband and I bought our first boat, never having driven a boat before and we hired Captain Dave to bring it up to us from Fort Lauderdale. My husband was lucky enough to be able to tag along and Captain Dave showed him everything he needed to know. We are beyond grateful for him sharing his vast knowledge and expertise with my husband and for caring for our boat like it was his own. Not only is he a great captain but he’s also easy going and a great guy. We cannot recommend him enough.

Captain Dave is nothing short of amazing! He will absolutely exceed any expectations you could imagine for a captain. We hired him to bring our boat back with us from St Pete to Pensacola, FL. We were aboard for the trip to learn about our new Galeon 43 foot and he was such an effective teacher. Better than any university we’ve attended! He is extremely knowledgeable about everything! He taught us about not just operating the boat but also the navigation, docking, maintenance, care, etc of the boat. We’re so thankful we had Captain Dave with us!

Captain Dave did an Awesome job on the delivery of our boat from Cape May to Charleston, South Carolina. I will certainly be calling him for future trips!

We found Captain Dave / Trusted Yacht Delivery while already on vacation in Stuart, FL and wanting something more 'gotta get away. ' We were lucky they were available post COVID slow spell. I predict that advance reservations will be needed going forward though. This operator will be in high demand.

Our trip was three nights to Key Largo and it was a slam dunk thanks to Captain Dave and Denise. They are both hard working professionals with an inherent love of hospitality and safety.

The Hosts:
Captain's research began right after initial inquiry. He returned with options of trips and timelines after getting a read on the weather and our wants and needs. This continued multi times a day during the trip always using our input. Denise is an encyclopedia of local knowledge, a fab cook and also a captain! Together they delivered to us an A+ experience that I would not have altered in any way. They are fun and happy people and I call them friends now.
The Boat:
So comfy and livable. Lots of modern gizomos. Spacious living quarters. Variety of seating. Frosty cold aircon inside that is adjustable in your quarters.
The Nature:
Key Largo gobsmacked me. Had no idea such a healthy diverse reef existed in the continental US. But that's all I'm going to say about that. I'm going to keep this treasure private like it was when we visited. Felt like it was all ours.

Dave is a great Captain and enjoyable to spend out on the water with. We moved my Yacht this past weekend from Miami to Daytona and Dave was knowledgable, on time, and very laid back which made for a great trip. Will definitely use Dave again for future trips.
